My Best Friend's Love || Hyunlix

Chan and Hyunjin were sitting in the gazebo in the backyard.

Hyunjin cleared his throat. "So hyung, what did you want to discuss with me?" He asked cautiously.

"First of all, relax. I'm not going to hurt you." Chan chuckled. "Both of you are dramatic sometimes."

"I couldn't help it when you sounded so authoritarian suddenly." Hyunjin rubbed the back of his neck. "We're not used to that tone, you know."

"Ok. Well, I'm not going to hurt you." Chan paused for a bit. "I just wanted to talk to you about you and Felix."

"What about us?"  Hyunjin was worried that Chan was against their relationship.  But that couldn't be it. They've wanted both of them to be together for the longest time. 

"First, I'm happy for both of you.  I can't imagine Felix with any other person but you.  However, if for any reason you hurt my brother, I won't hesitate to hurt you.  It doesn't matter if our families are friends." Chan said, and Hyunjin could feel the sincerity in his voice.

"I know, hyung.  Believe me when I say I will not hurt Felix because he is my everything.  He's my life." Hyunjin said.  He meant those words.   It hurts him just to think Felix is harmed in any kind.

"I know. But I can't help but be protective of him since he's such a nice, delicate kid." Chan replied.   Felix is the family's baby, so Chan and Jisung will do anything to protect their brother.   Even though Jisung is Felix's twin, Jisung treats Felix as the baby of the family.  "I'm responsible for my brothers, and I will protect them from anyone." 

"I know, hyung."  Hyunjin went closer to Chan and embraced him. "I will protect and love Felix with all I have that I could swear to you."

Meanwhile, inside the house, Felix, Jisung, Minho, and Mingyu were just hanging out.

"So..." Mingyu began to talk. "It's finally official, huh?" He asked the freckled boy.

"Yup. It took us a while to get where we are, but I'm happy." Felix smiled, thinking about his boyfriend, who was outside talking to Chan.

"Well, I'm happy for you, Bokkie. I mean it. It does hurt me to know that I could never have you." Mingyu looked down to avoid eye contact with Felix. He was terrified that if he looked at Felix in his eyes, he would start to cry. Regret was all he could feel. "I regret all those times I had my chance and never took it. But I guess we were never meant to be lovers."

Jisung and Minho looked at each other. They were listening, and they could not help but feel bad for Mingyu. However, they will never have it any other way.

"Min, thank you," Felix said. He didn't know what to say to give his friend comfort. He could only say how appreciative he was that Mingyu understood and accepted his relationship with Hyunjin. "Thank you for being there for me always, even though we lost communication for a while. Thank you for supporting me and for being my friend. You are one of my closest friends, so you are important to me." Felix rubbed Mingyu's back to reassure him. "I'm sorry I couldn't repay your love for me."

Mingyu smiled and looked up at Felix. "Bokkie, it's ok. I'm happy as long as you are."

Felix hugged Mingyu. They hugged for a few seconds then Felix let go of the hug. That's when the backdoor opened, and Chan and Hyunjin walked in.
