A/N: there might be some triggering subjects in this chapter, but if you made it this far you probably won't be surprised. And I never said this story would be fun to read ;)
Btw I'm sorry it took so long to get this chapter up y'all! But it's the second to last one and there's a lot happening, so I really wanted to get this right. And on top of that I've also been very busy. I'm off to Vegas soon for a couple weeks so I'm afraid the final chapter of this book will come out when I'm back. I'm still thinking about what to call the second book. I have some ideas in mind but if some of you have suggestions, feel free to let me know!

LAS VEGAS, DECEMBER 11, 1983

Today was December 11, meaning it was Nikki's 25th birthday. For the occasion Nikki had all his band mates and their partners, plus management and some crew members flown out to Las Vegas. Although there was still a bit of a weird tension between all of them. Vince had come out of jail only a week ago. After the car crash he had been arrested for drunk driving and vehicular man slaughter. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail, but only served 19 on the condition that he stay sober.

Sharise was a mess during the time Vince was locked up, she was scared she'd lose him forever. Seeing him in this state also broke her heart. Vince himself wasn't too vocal about it, keeping his thoughts and feelings mostly to himself. Maybe is was also his way of trying to process all of what had happened.
Angie would come with Sharise to visit Vince in jail whenever she could. Knowing she and Razzle were close made him scared he had lost her as a friend. All of the arguments they'd had before were nothing compared to what was going on now. He was scared she'd hold him responsible for Razzle's death, see him as a murderer, but she didn't. She never saw Vince as a criminal. A criminal is someone who does something on purpose, it wasn't like he planned on getting into that car drunk that night and get one of his best friends killed. It was an accident. He could have gotten himself killed. Besides, anyone could have been on that passengers seat; Nikki, Tommy, Mick, Sharise, Angie, anyone. Vince had a bit of a temper, he would often get wound up in fist fights, but he wasn't a bad person. He had a good heart and he would never want to kill someone. If he had the power to turn back time he wouldn't have to think about it for one second, Angie truly believed that.
