Ibis P.O.V

"Ibis! Ibis! Wake the fuck up ,you morron!" My roommate, Luke shouted.
Well, that's one way of waking up. I thought, opening my eyes and rubbing away the sleep.
My harpy friend drew the blinds, in such way that the sunlight would hit me straight in the face. "Piss off." I groaned and went back to my pillow, digging my face into it. I felt the blanket get pulled off of me. Now that caught my attention. I got up and gave my redheaded friend a death stare. "What!? What do you want?" He put his hands on his hips and rose one of his eyebrows. "First off, don't give me attitude. Second, the meeting is in an hour, so get your ass dressed." He scowled and threw a shirt at me.  Spirits all-mighty, is that it? Well, he ain't wrong though.
I got out of bed, stepping on some sort of bag. Tossing it aside with my foot, I made my way to the bathroom, careful not to step in any more litter.
"You know ,for a cheiftain, you are as filthy as a rat."
I turned on the water."What was that buddy? I couldn't hear you!''
I swear I could hear him blow steem thorugh his ears, as he picked up the trash. I chuckled ,then looked into the mirror. My black hair was reaching my shoulders, seemingly begging for a haircut, but I didn't have time for that. I carefuly put my brown contacts on, covering my natural charcoal black eyes.

-little time skip.(15 minutes)

"Please don't tell me you're gonna waste time putting eyeliner on!" Luke shouted over the sound of the running water. "I wouldn't be waisting time if soneone wouldn't rush me!" I huffed, corecting it for the 50th time. "Are all children of Pseudo this vain?" He came into the door frame, his reflection shown in the mirror." Far as I'm concerned , I might be the only one left, sooo..."
He smiled and shook his head, as I finaly got the other tail right. "There, see? It didn't take that long!"
"Whatever makes you sleep at night, pal. I'm off now, my shift begins in 15 minutes."
I gave him a thumbs up while struggling to put my hair in some sort of tail.
The harpy rolled his eyes and came into the bathroom. "What would you do without me?" He sighed, taking the hairtie away from me.
"Probably die."

I got out of the shack, after Luke cursed me out for beeing late. The sun was heating up the village.
Through the middle of the clearing, a creek flowed, dividing the cabins.
The trees surrounding the Snake's Creek - the little village I was cheiftain for-were providing shade spots. Some elves and faes were having small-talk, while the nymphs and dryades were coming back from the forest with baskets of fruits and vegetables. "Ibis!" A female voice yelled after me. I turned around to see Willow, one of the nymphs running after me, slightly tripping in her long brown and green dress.
"What's wrong ?"
She rose her index finger, while breathing heavealy, signaling me to wait. " Thank Lady Vellona I found you. The meeting has started earlier today and everyone is waiting for you. Elenor and Thanith are getting impatient and I am afraid Mohan will start a fight."
"Pseudo all-mighty, where's Alistor?"
She shook her head. "He, the ambassador of dwarfs, and trolls aren't required for this one."
Ah, great! Just me, that Fae brat and those three. Dad, if you're listening, please let me not go nuts.
Willow looked up at me with a worried look. "Nah, don't sweat it shorty. I got this."
I ruffled her hair, ruining her perfect braid. "Rot in the Fire-Pits! You do know I'm older, right?"
"And I'm taller." I stuck my toung out, walking away.
"Why you bastard!"

I couldn't care less if those idiots went for eachotheres necks, so I strolled to the bridge. A troll wearing glasses and a jumper was waiting by the bridg's leg, reading a news paper. " 'Morning Bobby!"
" 'Morning boss! One ticket?"
"You know it!"
I tossed him a golden coin and he gave me a passing toll.
On the other side of the bridge, a luxuriant forest spread, it's heart conceling a lake. A lake that had a pontoon built on it, with a long table and a dozen chairs. That was where the meeting were held.
While beeing half-way there, I heard shouting and cussing. This is gonna be fun. A small smirk made its way on my lips.
I reached the pontoon exactly when things were getting heated up. Elenore, the representative of the Merefolk, Tanith -elven ambassador- and Mohan were on the verge of going from verbal violance to phisical one. I casually walked to my seat, making them stop for a moment, as they looked at me with confusion." Good morning everyone, I see you decided to start without me. Also, where is Prince Neo, I thought he was needed too."
Mohan plucked a feather off his wrist, trying to keep his human form." He's not coming. The bastard made that pretty clear."
Elenor puffed." You know, that's no way of speaking of your allies."
"Shut it ,fish-face! You were throwing insults left and right just a moment ago."
"Watch your toung, harpy scum." Tanith groweld.
"Ladies! Gentleman! Please, we're not enemies here, now are we?" I said in soothing tone. A flicker of light came from my fingers. "Nice try, but your magic dosen't afect us." The elf woman tsked. "You are unbeliveble, honestly. Did you forget that your little tricks don't work here?" Elenor pointed to the poison ivy and moss, that were blocking my powers.
"Had to try." I shruged." Now, what were you guy arguing about?"
"The Oracle has made a prediction. Two childer of Mischief are to bring either great distruction or salvation to our people. As we know, your patron -Pseudo ,Spirit of mischief, misshap and decit- has a cursed bloodline." Mohan explained.
My throat dryed out. A drop of sweat fell down the beck of my neck. "Y-yeah? How...interesting..."
"Uhm, are you feeling alright, Ibis? You turned quite pale." The ambassador of Merefolk sounded concerned. "Yeah, just...go on." I managed.
"And we were discussing either we should start a search for them and get them somwhere they can't hurt anyone..."
" ...or just kill them on-sight." Tanith finished.
"DO NOT KILL THEM!!"
From how fast I got up, the chair fell." What is wrong with you people?!"
"That's what I said!" The harpy ambassador sighed in exasperation.
"We'll discuss this next week, when everyone will be present. But do take my word into consideration; I might be the youngest, so you have the tendancie to overlook my opinions, but just listen : what if somthing big is about to happen and the two are the only way to stop it? What if, when we kill them, we sign our own deaths?"
They all stared at me for a solid five minutes, the tension beeing so thick, you could cut it with a knife. Elenore sighed ,then nodded." As much as I hate to admit it, you might be right. We shall continue the debate next week. Now we have two votes in favore and two against. May the Spirits guide us."
She took her crutches and walked towards the water, jumping into the lake. Tanith also nodded and headed south, towards the elven kigndom.
"You alright kid?" Mohan put a hand on my shoulder. I shook my head. He, Luke and Willow were the only ones who knew I was a son of Pseudo, not just his Priest. "It's gonna be alright. Besides, you know the old centaur wouldn't sign someone's death sentace, any given scenario."
He tried incourajing me by offering a confident smile, clearly not working. Hundrets of scenarios were being built up in my head, ones in which everyone else votes in favor, bringing me to my demise. Others having that everyone finds out who I am and they send me in exile, to make up for my father's mistakes and apease the other Spirits...
"Look, you need to stop overthinking. You're a smart kid, but that mind of yours might also be the death of you if you allow it to play this kind of dirty tricks. Take things step by step. What do you do first?"
The little wheeles in my head started spinning..."As far as I'm concearned, I might be the only one."
"That's it! I know what I have to do!"
"And that is...?"
" For a start, find this half-sibling of mine, then we'll see."
"Gottcha. I'll send some harpies to help too. See ya'!"
He took off ,leaving me alone. Now that I had a purpose to fullfil, the only thing left to do was talk with Willow and Luke, to have their thoughts on it.
