Fanana's Curse: Lion King Fan Story

Chapter 9

              "Wake up," she heard Nzuri's voice.

                Fanana slowly woke up. She was in a lush green cave. Her injures gone. All around her where hyenas. 

                  "Don't worry Fanana, they scared away Jambazi and Mchawi healed you," Nzuri said.

                    Confused Fanana asked who Mchawi was. 

                   A hyena stepped forward. She was very old and blind with three strings of hair over her face. 

                    "I have trained in mystical healing," she said.

                      "She's nothing like Rafiki," Nzuri said. "She can heal near death injuries." 

                        "Aren't you mad at me?" Fanana said to Nzuri." 

                         "She was but, you nearly died," Mchawi answered. "A lot has happened since you where out."

                          "What's your story?" Fanana asked suspiciously. 

                         "The spirits told me to get involved. I prefer not to mess with lions," Mchawi answered.

                        "Fanana, please trust her," Nzuri pled.

                       "I'll trust you Nzuri," Fanana said. 

                        "Jambazi is talking with Kovu now. He's trying to make Kovu give him the kingdom. He has Shambulio captive. You need to save them," Mchawi said. 

                         "I can't go back," Fanana said with grief. 

                         "I believe in you Fanana. After all you been through. You can't give up," Nzuri said with so much hope. 

                            One look at Nzuri, Fanana knew she couldn't give up now. 

                          "Are you coming Mchawi?" Fanana asked.

                          "Oh no. I've done enough  for you lions," She said bitterly.

                            Fanana and Nzuri went back to the Pride lands. Fanana looked out terrified her parents were up to speed now, and she did not what to face them. 

                            "Stay hear," she told Nzuri. 

                          It was her fault Jambazi was full of hate. Nzuri was to young to let her risk her life for Fanana's mistakes. 

                     As she walks up Pride Rock, she made her plane. Sins he hated her she would lure Jambazi away from Shambulio, so Kovu could lead a attack. 

                    Refusing to took at her parents she hade no support. 

                    Jambazi noticed her right away. He got closer. His size huge agents Fanana. One paw on Shambulio's tail still. 

                  "I thought you where dead," Jambazi said. Anger flashed in his remaining eye.

                  Jambazi got closer but refused to take his paw of Shambulio's tail. 

                Fanana needed a new plane. She noted that they were near the pointed ledge of Pride Rock. 

                 In a second she grabbed Jambazi and using body weight, she pulled both of them of the ledge.
