Fanana's Curse: Lion King Fan Story

Chapter 8

              Kiara sent mice to to neighboring prides to find Nzuri. She sent half the pride to search in the Pride Lands. Fanana lead the other half in the Out Lands, deliberately avoiding Nzuri. Tazama searched from above, but Nzuri was instructed to stay in the cave. 

              While Kovu was sad, Kira fell into a deep depression and refused to eat or talk. Fanana and Kovu got incredibly worried for her. 

               Non of this was reported to Nzuri. Fanana did not want her to worry. 

               Months passed and Nzuri was growing. She was double the size now. A new cave would have to be found soon. 

            Fanana showed her how to fight, track, and hunt. 

             "So when jumping use my back legs. Ok. Do I get a running start," Nzuri asked.

               "That depends. When stalking, no", Fanana said. She talked calmly but she was freaking out. 

             Zuraki and the others almost bit her head off when she saved Nzuri. Then her mother. Now the new plane. It was all so stressful. 

               A few days passed and she intersected one of the search mice coming home. "Tell Kiara and Kovu, they found Nzuri in the western pride and they should both come and get her. That or I'll eat you," Fanana said. 

            The mouse agreed of course. 

            Fanana was temporarily Queen now. The first thing she ordered was the Jambazi. 

            "Jambazi was not in the hide out," Shambulio reported. 

               "If he's not dead then why did you come back," Fanana said coldly. "Go back out and don't come bake until he's dead."

               Shambulio flinched like Fanana struck her. 

                "Chill out Fanana," Mpenzi said. 

               "Don't question me," Fanana growled a warning. 

                 "Fan," Vitani got in the middle of her girlfriend and Fanana. 

                Fanana had it then. She shoved Vitani out of the way. She grabbed Mepinzi and threw her of the side of Pride Rock. 

             The fall was not far, but it stunned her. 

              Vitani slammed herself into Fanana, while Fanana's followers rose up. 

              "We can't let the past repeat." Vitani announced to all. 

              'Did Vitani just push her?' Fanana thought.

               Anger raged in her and Fanana let out the most ferocious roar. 

               Not one roar came out, but all five roars came out. Though she did not see them the others where with her too.       

              The pride noticed too, because they where cowering. Even her followers. Only for a second it broke her heart. 

              "I'm your queen now! Don't question me!" Fanana demanded. 

                "Someone is planning to tell. She will meet your parents up at the gorge," Scar said a few nights later. 

                 "You need to kill her," Zuraki said. 

                   "Who is it?" Fanana asked.
