"Where's dad?" Fanana got up in a huff.

"Don't worry. He's with her," Vitani soothed. "We have to get Rafiki."

"Ya. Lets go then," Fanana said. Her momentary panic gone.

"Keep a lookout for the rogues Fan. They could be anywhere," Vitani firmly reminded.

It was clearly Vitani hated the rogues sense the incident. It was a good thing the cub was coming now. The pride needed this.

As they ran Fanana was so relieved. Not only for the pride. She figured that the cub could help her get some friends.

"You stay hear Fan. Keep a lookout." Vitani said as they approached Fafiki's tree.

Fanana saw Vitani climb up and disappear into the branches. A little while later she returned with Rafiki.

Back in the cave Kiara was pushing through the pain. "Is he hear yet," she moaned.

"I saw Rafiki approaching. It will be a few minutes," Kovu said while placing the wet moss by her mouth.

Kovu was on edge. The second time was no more nerve racking that the last.

Kiara was in so much pain, but was happy.

Fanana was nervous about all of it. As she approached she felt a panic attack rise up. "I'm not feeling good," she whisper to Vitani.

"Rafiki go ahead without us," Vitani ordered.

As soon as Rafiki was gone Vitani scooped around Fanana, like she was a cub. "Deep breathes Fan." Vitani soothed. "It will be ok. Everything will be ok. Life is scary in the moment so look to the future. You'll have a new friend."

'Your more right than you know,' Fanana thought.

"Just a moment ago I was excited," Fanana confessed.

"Emotions is a complicated thing Fan. If I could make them make sense, I would," Vitani said.

"Thank you Vitani. I'm feeling better now," Fanana informed.

Mpenzi laid out with the rest of the pride while Rafiki was with Kiara and Kovu.

She saw Vitani and Fanana climbing up to her.

"Rafiki said the cub will arrive in the morning. Until then we should stay out hear." Mpenzi told them.

           "How's mother," Fanana asked.

            "She's doing fine," Mpenzi said.

Fanana slid into a siting potion with new relief.

'Pore Fanana. Always expecting the worst,' Mpenzi thought.

Off course Fanana expected the worst. Good things don't exactly happen animals like her.

Her fears where unfounded. It was now morning and Kirara gath birth to a healthy female cub.

Kiara was now sleeping with her cub in her paws.

It was not what Fanana expected. It looked more like a rodent than a lion.

"What do you think of Nzuri?" Kovu asked. He was glowing with pride.
