"What if we went and saved her? The angel I mean."

"What?!" I stood before Crimson, back at the old castle where we first went and spoke.

"We should try something, right?" He asked, lifting himself onto the balustrade with his hands pushing his body upwards, and seated himself on top of it. "You've spent a long time with her, right? Don't you want to do something about it? "

"No. Not really."

"So heartless!" Crimson gasped, his eyes confused. "But get this- They're using the Angel's magic to hide us here, right? A place that's stuck in the past, and hidden from the world. If we set her free, we'll return to the normal world!"

"Look- Kid." I sighed, leaning against the arch that led back inside. "The Angel's been there for years, seeing many different people. So obviously they've all at least tried once to save her, right? If she's still here, that means that obviously the many different things that have been tried, and failed."

"Grayson..." Crimson pouted, his bottom lip trembling. "Come on, we can try! I have a feeling that you can do this Gray. You're the only person who can!"

"No."

"Finee..." he gave up, rolling his eyes at me. He then stood up, dangerously close to the edge, and turned away from me, looking up at the stars with his back turned to me.

"Hey- Get down from there-" I shrugged myself off of my leaning position, and reached my hand forward, my heart momentarily failing.

"I'm gonna set her free, with or without you, Gray!" He shouted into the nothingness, his arms outstretched. His cheeks were lifted, and I could tell he was smiling. "Don't you want to see her fly again? I know I do!"

He took a sharp turn with his heel, one foot lifted as he balanced himself, just a moment before a deadly fall. He had this look on his face- A big, toothy grin and his eyes sparkling with hope. Those eyes shone brighter than the stars that coated the sky- they were no match.

"Kid-" before I could say anything further, he leaned back, and like that, he disappeared from my eyes.

Everything momentarily went dark.

I opened my eyes again, and looked down to see that I had a handful of the chest area of Crimson's shirt, and was holding him from falling. He smiled at me, his heels were still pressed against the side of the tower.

"You idiot!" I hissed, using all my strength to pull him back up.

"You're insane!" I panted, collapsing into a sitting position. "I can't believe Artemis brought along such a burden. God- What am I gonna do!"
