__________ SUMMER. THE WAVES, THE WIND, THE SEA AND THE SUNSETS. The sun is shining reflecting his light on the small waves, the window is open as the wind slowly moves the white curtains.
Everyone here in the island wait for this moment from the beginning of the year, no more clouds, or bad weather, no more school, just going to hang on the beach with your friends, tanned skin, sunbathing by the pool listening to your favorite playlist and cocktail parties at the club, at least i speak from my point of view.
Two Tribes one Island, this is what everyone says when they describe 𝐊𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐈𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝. My family the Cromwells have always been at Figure Eight, we are part of the high society.
This little town is split in two parts, Figure Eight is the rich part of the island, home of the 𝐊𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐬, and then there's the poorer south side called the Cut, the natural habitat of the 𝐏𝐨𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐬.

I find myself in front of the pool, lying down on the sun-bed with my bikini on. I wake up early because i have plenty of plans today, not that i usually wake up late, i'm a pretty much an early morning person.
Logan's coming over to have brunch together here at my house and then we need to get ready for the big event of this evening, the famous Cocktail Party at the Club with all the Figure Eight families.
This year honestly I hadn't planned to go, given the latest family news, my father's engagement.
Not that i'm not happy that my father is happy and in love, but it is strange that he can be happy with someone who's not my mother, especially Caroline.
I know that it's been years since my mother is no longer here, but it remains an open wound that has no intention of closing.
I'm lost in my thoughts when the blonde woman looking like she's straight out from a Magazine with big sunglasses and her usual white set catches my attention.
I lower my glasses to look at her figure while she stand on the backyard door with her harms crossed.
"Your friend is here" she just says, without looking at me walking away on her pointy black heels. I swear on my life i've never saw that woman with sneakers on.
"oh i almost forgot" i take my hair out of my ponytail stretching myself on the sun-bed.
I get up and take my glasses off, i walk towards the kitchen where my best friend is sitting on one of the bar stools.
