"I—
Oh.
Oh."

Dabi could tell it took a moment to sink in, Hawks just hugged him a little tighter.

"I'm so sorry-"

"It's okay. 'M gunna hurt myself if I don't calm down though. M'gunna go shower. It's fine, sweetheart." Dabi didn't stop himself from kissing a stray tear, tasting it on his lips with resigned satisfaction. "Try and eat something while I'm busy, my Phoenix. Can ya do that for me?"

"Y-yeah." He pulled back, Dabi just tiled his chin up.

"Can ya do that for me?" He repeated, watching as Hawks' little brain-cogs turned to think.

"Oh, uh, yes. I can eat."

"Good." He ruffled his hair lightly and stepped out of the room, dodging straight for the open bathroom door.

The water hit Dabi's back, frigid to the touch. Of course with his body heat right now, steam bursted out from the contact. The cold immediately started to dim down the fire in his body, he could feel it, even though the water hardly touched him yet. He was too hot for the water to even touch, it was good that he left Hawks when he had the chance.

"Why do I even bother." He muttered under his breath, thinking of how he's been worrying about Hawks. Those days were over, anyway. Now it was just time to wreck him and play with him.

Dabi was a villain. Hawksie even said it himself. He called Dabi a villain, he said he pushed away all the good memories. So it was only fair that Dabi's dear Phoenix be treated with the same respect.

Dabi would forget it all, wipe it form his memory. All that they were now was a hero who was far too broken to survive, and a villain who was far too sadistic to let him survive.

Hawks fit in the palm of his hand. Dabi was having fun with cradling him a bit, but soon he was going to crush him.

The scarred man closed his eyes, listening to the water sizzle against his skin.

All in good time, it would all be fixed.

Breathe in... breathe out.

Hawks watched him go, feeling a sort of guilt weighing in his chest. He shouldn't have said anything, it would have been better for both of them.

He picked at his feathers a bit before standing up, wobbling over to the kitchen in hopes that there may be food he could actually enjoy eating.

Somehow he doubted it; a villain having spare meat lying around wasn't probable.

He opened the fridge and peeked inside. To his surprise there was some raw bacon.

Hawks could imagine Dabi being a lazy mother fucker and just cooking bacon on his own arm for some reason. It sounded funny, bringing a full smile to his face.

The kitchenette was small, making it difficult to waddle around with his wings. What he really wanted was to be able to spread them out, he's been far too cramped for far too long.

The winged hero glanced around. Other than bacon, there was some cheese, jell-o cups, and bread that he, for some reason, kept in the fridge. There really weren't a lot of things here.

Hawks opened the freezer, seeing a bag of frozen chicken nuggets. His smile twitched a little wider and he pulled out the bag, glancing around the small kitchen nook over his shoulders.

After he spotted a microwave, he shuffled his wings against his back and turned before letting them relax again. He didn't like microwaving chicken, but he really didn't feel like navigating the stove, and he didn't want Dabi to get mad at him either.
