DON'T INVENT ANY STYLE. WRITE LIKE THEM.

While I go about on Wattpad thinking of how to write my very own hit book, these three authors changed my life. They helped me write my first hit book. Watch the video above, but read to see how I applied them.

In my first post, I mentioned three things that have helped my writing journey so far, and it includes;

Reading, Learning and Writing.

You already know what I did and how these fantastic authors helped me write my hit book right?

>I read their books.

>I learned from their books.

>Then I wrote my book following their styles of writing.

>Just follow the three steps.

Now here is the secret.

Dear writer that wants to write a hit book.

Which hit book did you read in the past and you can't just get over it?

Which book did you read as a reader and made you call the writer your favourite?

Which hit book still hit your heart so hard!!!!

Dear, that's the secret. Go find that book and read. Take your pen and paper and jot down what you noticed in the book that made you fall for the book so hard. Write in detail how the writer dealt with conflicts. How the writer advanced the plot. How the writer chose his or her words. Check the style of writing that made the book a go-to for you every time as a reader.

If you can enjoy it as a reader, then there are readers waiting to read a book like that if you write something like that too. Your type of reader is plenty out there. They will find your book.

So, a very quick test.

What kind of books do you read?

Who are the writers that write them?

Which book is not your type but you fell in love with it and it made you read stories in that category?

Let's check my Answers.

>I read romance, love stories, humour, mystery and thriller. I love fantasy too.

>I have like five of them and I go back to read their books every year. I don't want to lose touch with them because they are my teachers.

>I don't read teen fiction actually, but I read "Last Days at Forcados high school"

>I decided to write a teen fiction because I enjoyed the story and Boom!Boom!Boom!!!!

I'm laughing so loud 😂 with this boom boom, remembering the TikTok boom boom video, but all I want to say is...

My first teen fiction became a hit. Boom!

Lol. Don't worry, you gonna write yours too and it's going to be your takeover season.

Then I applied the styles of these three authors I met on Wattpad.

The one whose love stories and romance books I enjoy.

The one whose books make me laugh.

The one who captures my emotions all the time

These are the kind of books I enjoy. Writing books like that is always fun to do.

Currently, I'm reading The #5-second rule to get out of bed and chase your dreams.

And I'm reading excerpts of Collen Hover's books on Wattpad. She remains an all time best seller.

Read authors you are curious about and learn from them. Remember, they've been in the game for quite long.

And that is all for today's post. Bye. see you soon.
