"I missed you" EVA say hugging her twin
As Angelo hugs back tighter missing the warmth of his twin
"Why were you with the lotus, no before that, are you ok? Did they hurt you too much? Are you sure you can..."?
"I am fine Gelo, just a little hurt" she said smiling
"I missed you all" she said looking at everyone present in the room
"We all missed you" Alexzander said while everyone looked at her with a sense of longing
"Where is she?" Isabella shouts banging the door open
"Oh my god, you are here, you are with us, with me, in my arms, I missed you so much" she sobbed holding Eva in her arms tightly
Scared if she lets go she will disappear again
"I missed you too... mom" Eva said with a bit of hesitation before finally calling her mom
~TIME SKIP 2 DAYS~
"Does it feel good?" asked Isabella asked as she gently massaged Eva's shoulder
'yeah, thanks" Eva replied as she closed her eyes enjoying peace she was deprived of for the past one year
"Will you ever tell us what actually happened with you while you were at the lotus" she asked as Eva froze
Eva never planned on telling them as it would only break their hearts and if anything, they would blame themselves and feel guilty for not protecting her
Her silence answered Isabella's question
Soon after the massage came to an end and they were on their way to the dining hall where all the others were already waiting
"So, what, how long are you going to behave like this?" Angelo snapped at Eva as they were having dinner
"What do you mean?" Eva asked him with a blank stare
"this is what I mean" he shouted banging his fist on the table making the water spill a little "here we are sitting as if nothing happened and as if you are back from a fucking vacation which is clearly not the case and I hate that you are in pain so I try to ask what happened and you brush it off" he shouted
It's been five days since she was back and if anyone asked her about what happened with the lotus she always brushed it off
For the first time since he lost his memories Eva saw the dark look in his eyes
"You regained your memories?" Eva asks gripping her fork tightly in her fist
"see, I try to ask you something and you just can't wait to change the topic" he said "I am not that kid you need to look after anymore, and yes, I did regain my memories back and I clearly know that you are hiding something from us, something which you are meant to share" he shouts
All the time with his memories back and being the head of the French mafia without the twin he has never been apart for more than a day has completely changed him
"It's nothing big" Eva brushed it off knowing that this dinner was going nowhere
"it's not nothing" Xander shouted "he is right, we are a family, you are hurt, we can see it even if you are an expert at hiding things, I know you suffered, maybe something very hard that none of us can be compared with but we suffered too," he shouted
"He is right, as much as I hate to admit it, we are not the family we were before you were taken away, we are distant and not ourselves anymore," Xavier said supporting his twin
"What do you want me to do?" Eva asked even though she knew the answer
"Open up" Massimo spoke up
"I can't" she said and as soon as the words came out of her mouth Angelo took no time in storming off the door
"Where are you going?" Eva shouted
But all she heard in reply was the loud bang of the front door
"This is a mess" Xander said leaving the table
The dining room was soon empty except for Massimo, Isabella and Eva
"Do you also think I am wrong?" she asks getting a sense of déjà vu
"You know it in your heart dear" said Isabella looking at her
She knew it in her heart and want to tell Angelo everything but only one thing is stopping her
The guilt they will feel after seeing her wounds
And that would eventually make her feel guilty for making them feel so
As much has she wants to open up she want to hide in
It was midnight and Angelo has yet to come home which was worrying her to her guts
Eventually having enough of Angelo ignoring her calls she tried to track it but she failed in doing so as Angelo's hacking skills were at the top and she was no match for him
With a heavy heart she went and knocked on her parents room
"Angelo is not home yet" she said as soon as Massimo opened the door still in a sleepy state
"Don't worry, he will be home tomorrow, he is at his friends' home" he said
"He contacted you?" she asked feeling a little hurt
"No, it was mike, he said Angelo was at his place and will be back tomorrow" he said
"Don't worry dear, he I s fine" Massimo assured her again seeing the worried look on her face
"Ok, thank you" she said walking away
"Who was it?" Isabella asked Massimo as he closed the door
"It was Eva, she was asking about Angelo" he replied
"Did you tell her where he is at?" she asked
"Yeah, I told her he was at mikes" he said climbing back in the bed
"She has been through a lot, I saw the scars on her body while helping her get dressed and giving a massage" she shied
"I know, she is even hesitant to talk about it"
It was a sleepless night for Eva
She was overthinking again
One of the aftereffect of the torturous time she endured at the lotus
"No, no, stay away, don't come closer" she mumbled crouching down on the floor behind her bed fisting her hair in her hands pulling it tightly
"No, stay away" she continued as images flash through her mind
Memories of those who injected her with drugs just to make her inhuman
"Stay away" she whispered as a memory played in her mind
The drug started to take action as only one thought was running through her head when she realized that the drug was not in her system anymore
Not at this time
At the same time outside the room door was Angelo
Resting his hand on the door handle
Thinking to go in or not to go in and face his sister
