"Alright, we will be off now, take care little flower" Eva says as she stands up from the chair ruffling her hair
"will the both of you visit tomorrow?" she asked with her eyes
"of course cutie pie" Neron said with a small smile which made her smile back widely
As they walk out of the room Neron speaks up "9 O'clock dream ice cream parlour"
"will you show up there Mr. street fighter?" Eva says back
"you did a background check on me?" he asked slightly shocked
"cant say I didn't"
~~~~TIME SKIP TILL 9~~~~
Neron pushed open the door to The dream ice cream, the familiar jingle of the bell above his head oddly comforting. He scanned the room and immediately spotted her—Evangeline, sitting in the farthest corner booth, her gaze as sharp as ever. She didn't exactly blend in, but then again, neither did he.
He made his way over, his every step measured, as if he were stepping into a ring. But this wasn't a fight. At least, not in the traditional sense.
"Evangeline," he greeted, sliding into the seat across from her.
"Neron." Her voice was smooth, almost dangerously so. She gave him a once-over, her lips curving into a faint smile. "You're late."
"Had to make sure I wasn't being followed," he replied, leaning back in his seat. "Old habits, you know?"
She nodded, appreciating the caution. "I assume you didn't call me here just for a friendly chat?"
Neron chuckled, signaling the waiter for an order. "Not exactly. Though the ice cream's pretty damn good here."
Evangeline's eyes sparkled with amusement. "That, I can agree with. So, what's on your mind?"
He took a moment as the waiter placed a sundae in front of him. He picked up the spoon, swirling it around the melting ice cream. "It's about Felicity," he said, his tone growing serious.
Evangeline's expression didn't change, but he knew she was listening closely. "Go on."
"She's special," Neron continued, choosing his words carefully. "We both know it. And I think... I think she knows it too, even if she doesn't fully understand."
Evangeline took a slow, deliberate sip of her espresso. "She's pure," she said finally. "Innocent. That's what drew us to her in the first place. But our world, Neron... it's not meant for someone like her."
"I know," Neron admitted. "But maybe... just maybe, we can protect her from it. Keep her safe while still being a part of her life."
Evangeline raised an eyebrow. "And how do you propose we do that?"
Neron set his spoon down, meeting her gaze head-on. "An open relationship. The three of us. No secrets, no lies. Just... honesty. She cares about us, Evangeline. I see it in the way she looks at you, the way she talks to me. We don't have to make her choose."
Evangeline considered his words, her expression unreadable. It was a dangerous proposition, one that could easily backfire. But there was something in Neron's voice, a sincerity that made her pause.
"You think she'd agree to this?" she asked, her voice softer now.
"I think she might," Neron replied. "If we approach her the right way. We'd have to be careful, make sure she feels safe and loved. No pressure, just... a suggestion."
Evangeline's eyes narrowed slightly, as if weighing the pros and cons. "I'm not accustomed to sharing, Neron. My world doesn't allow for such luxuries."
"But Felicity isn't your world," Neron countered. "She's something outside of it. Something... pure. She's not a prize to be won or a pawn to be played. She's just... Felicity."
For a long moment, Evangeline said nothing. Then, slowly, she reached for her own spoon, dipping it into her sundae. "An open relationship," she mused, more to herself than to him. "It's unconventional. But then again, so are we."
Neron allowed himself a small smile. "So... you're considering it?"
Evangeline met his eyes, her expression softening ever so slightly. "I'm considering it. But we need to be very clear with her, Neron. This could confuse her, hurt her. I won't let that happen."
"Neither will I," he promised, the seriousness in his voice matching hers. "We take it slow, let her lead. And if at any point she's uncomfortable... we stop."
Evangeline nodded, her decision made. "Alright. We'll talk to her together, see how she feels about it. But remember, Neron, if this goes wrong..."
"It won't," he said firmly. "We'll make sure of it."
For the first time that evening, Evangeline smiled—a real, genuine smile that softened her usually stern features. "To Felicity, then. And to whatever comes next."
Neron raised his spoon in a mock toast. "To Felicity."
They shared a quiet moment, the weight of their conversation settling between them. It was a risk, but it was one they were willing to take. Because for all their differences, they both knew one thing: Felicity was worth it.
And whatever happened next, they'd face it together
Only after reaching home did she realise that she did not tell Neron about the most important thing
So she simply drops him a text informing him of it
