𝟎𝟎𝟏.

𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐢𝐭

"YOUR THIRD RED in one season." xavi sighed, shaking his head at his talented centre-back, who couldn't seem to keep himself out of trouble despite his best efforts.

"i know." was all jules said in response, hanging his head low in shame.

"it's not good enough. you know we're going to have to temporarily suspend you from the first team, right?" the coach let out a sharp exhale in exasperation; it pained him to say it as much as it pained jules to hear it.

"i know."  he whispered solemnly.

"you're banned from playing in any games, senior or junior. but you are permitted to continue to train with the second and junior teams, anything that does not come under the leagues you are suspended from. i know how important it is to you to maintain your training habits." xavi sympathetically placed a hand on jules' shoulder. 

he wasn't a bad person or player; he was just perhaps too passionate for his own good sometimes.

"understood." jules mumbled in response, before getting up from xavi's office chair. "graçias, jefe." he chuckled sadly, before leaving the room.

ousmane waited for him in the corridor, eagerly hoping that his national and club teammate's punishment wouldn't be so bad.

"alors, le verdict?" he stared at jules intently, who simply shook his head with despondence.

"j'suis grillé, j'suis interdit..." he trailed off. 

"banned from what exactly?" ousmane was visibly irritated by his crypticness, nevertheless attempting to hide it as to not upset him further. "and for how long?"

"football, entirely." jules sniffed. "well, the first team. for two months."

ousmane's eyes widened, as he engulfed his friend in a hug. "le camp nou will miss you, my friend." he smiled sadly.

jules embraced him in return, before his expression turned stone-cold. "i'll be back before you know it. and better, just wait."
