I closed the door and tears ran down my cheeks even if I wanted to go I won't be able to find a dress this late" I walked back upstairs and lost it, I cried and cried until I fell asleep.
Jadens POV I drove back home In silence I thought yn would say yea but ig not. Our conversation kept repeating in my head "I love you" "Haha yea bye Jaden" Yn never called me by my full name unless she was mad at me and most importantly she didn't say I love you back... I got home and walked inside to my family sitting at the table.
"What are you guys doing?" I say putting my keys in my pocket "Jaden your an asshole yk that right?!?" Jayla says getting up "Wha-what??" I say confused "Yn was so excited for prom and for you to ask her but no you had to wait 3 days before prom when it's TOO LATE TO GET A DRESS!? She waited for you to ask but you were always busy with baseball!"
"I-I didn't know okay I'm sorry, I didn't know she wanted to go... I asked her rn but she said no cause she doesn't have a dress and it's too late to find one and she didn't even want to go to prom.."

Yn POV I was taking a shower before bed and when I was done I noticed I got a notification it was from Jaden

I felt kinda bad for how I was acting I was just sad he didn't ask me to prom. I walked over to his house and knocked on the door but nobody was answering, but then I got a text from Jaden saying to come to the backyard. I went towards the back and saw light like someone was lighting a fire and to my surprise, Jaden was right there with his family recording.

We all went inside and after a while, Jaden started driving me home. Prom day
I was getting ready in Jayla's room and Jayla, and Kylee were getting ready and Jes was helping me with my shoes since it was hard cause of the poofy dress. "You look so beautiful yn" "Thank you jes, and thank you for letting me borrow this dress" "Oh no keep it" "Oh but this is the first dress you wore to prom with DJ" "yea and it's the first dress you wear to prom with Jaden." I smiled
" look yn I know you and Jaden are just dating but...you guys remind me and DJ of a younger version of us, and by the way my son looks at you and the way you look at him I know your gonna be his future wife and my future daughter in law" I smiled and a tear fell down my cheek "oh sweetie don't cry you'll ruin your makeup," she says as she lets out a small laugh
"Okay, you girls ready?" Dj says knocking on the door "Hell yeah," Jayla says causing us to laugh. We all walked downstairs and I saw Jaden staring at me not blinking and having a smile on his face.
Jadens POV I saw Yn walk down the stairs and she looked beautiful not that she doesn't ever look beautiful but she looks even more. The way her skin tone goes well with the purple and the way her curves show and the way her brea- "Bro blink this isn't a staring competition" Javon says nudging my arm "Oh shut up" I say shouldering him
Yn POV "You guys ready to take photos??" Dj says "yea," us kids say "You look gorgeous my love," Jaden says right before kissing me "You look so handsome, baby" We finished taking pictures and was time to go "Ay Jaden and Yn remember no funny business," DJ says laughing while Jes slaps his arm "I'm jk but remember Jaden you do use protection" "omg yes Dad ik can we please go," Jaden says rolling his eyes "okay you too go have fun we love you" "bye" It We arrived at the school and went to go dance and we had a really fun time. Me and Jaden ended up getting prom king and queen and had a fun night.
