I was resting on the bed, thinking about my next step, why I feel so different? That wolf... during the war, he wanted me to return to that pathetic person. I feel so... free. The doctor is not around to bother me anymore, yes, but I think it's something else. I heard voice coming closer to my room, it was Gadget but... his voice was duplicated? Well, not exactly, but it was very similar. The door was open, revealing another mobian, a wolf, but his fur was different, I remember Gadget mentioning about his brother.
Infinite: You... you are his twin, right?
Gizmo: You told him about me?
Gadget: When I was on my adventures. I'll leave you guys to meet each other better, I need to talk with Barry about, all of this.
Gizmo: Only talk huh?
I saw Gadget with a deadly glance to his brother. I must admit, it was a bit scary, we are not accustomed with innocent souls having a bad side, Gadget was... intimidating. He was gone, closing the door, Gizmo sits right on my side with a notepad, ready to take notes, this was an interrogatory.
Gizmo: So, I going to make some questions, ok?
Infinite: With what purpose?
Gizmo: I need to study you, your past, your desires.
Infinite: If this is for the Resistance you can go away.
Gizmo: Relax, I promised to GG that I won't say anything for them.
Infinite: uh... GG? You mean Gadget?
Gizmo: Yes, that's the nickname I gave for him. Mine's Giz.
Nicknames, my squad... they all had nicknames, we used them so much that it became their names.
Infinite: Do it, make the questions.
Gizmo: Alright, question number one, how did Gadget ended up on your squad?
Infinite: ... you could ask about my alliance with the doctor, if I still has the power of the crystal, why my past is relevant?
Gizmo: Those questions can wait, only if you want to answer it since it's a... complicated topic and-
Infinite: I'll do it. You would just piss me off to answer it anyways.
Gizmo: Yay!
Gizmo is really like how Gadget told me, I wanted to forget about my past, but everyone around won't let me do it. How was it? Oh yeah... that night, silly wolf thought that I didn't noticed his trick, well, it was supposed to be a great punishment for my squad... until those pest came and ruined the momentum.
(FLASHBACK: 3TH PERSON)
Zero has received the CODE S.U.A on his bracelet, those letters means Squad Under Attack. He didn't even said anything to Gadget, the wolf could escape from him, it wouldn't be good for their business, but family comes in the first place.
He saw that there was smoke coming out of the house, something was burning. When Zero rushed to inside of the house, he found out that it wasn't a smoke, it was gas, and it was the type which can make you sleep. He tried to find his squad, and he did, they were all knocked out on the floor, before Zero lose his strength, he saw two mobians, they were talking with a third person that wasn't visible for him.
??? 1: Bro this gas is really something!
??? 2: Yeah, yo! Their boss is here!
??? 1: No way dude! Yo, wolf gal! The last one is here!
??? 3: Good, you two do whatever you want, I will find what I'm looking for.
Zero: Who... are... you...
??? 2: You don't know us? Oh yeah, because of these mask and the gas you probably doesn't recognize us.
??? 1: You lookin' to scrap?
??? 2: Then get ready to crumble!
??? 1: Brace yourselves for...
??? 3: Sshhh! Don't you guys think of the consequences?
??? 2: What kind of?
??? 3: If you guys revealed your names, they would go after you!
??? 2: So what? We can just kill them, right here, right now.
??? 2: Bro? Are you sure about this?
??? 3: First of all! I won't let any of you commit a mass murder! Second! If you kill the Jackal Squad, not only me, but half of Mobius will be after you!
??? 1: ... fine! Let's go bro, these jackals have a lot of stuff to steal.
??? 2: Yes.
??? 3: These idiots.
The Jackal Squad was out of action, the gas was starting to dissipate in the air, but even if they were to awake, they wouldn't do anything because they were all tied up. It could be their end, the Jackal Squad for the first time were defeated, it's easy to win a fight when you put your enemy to sleep. Of course, their hopes would be lighted when a certain red wolf would decide to do an unthinkable choice.
Gadget has made a choice, instead of running away, he decided to follow his captor. Why? Why he wants to follow one of the persons responsible for his misadventure? For his gem being stolen? For his leg being hurt? Is Gadget under effect of Stockholm syndrome? Or Gadget is being an idiot? None of those answers are right. Our scarlet wolf just had good parents. He was thought the same thing that was told to Shadow on Space Colony ARK, but of course, he didn't lost anyone to change his view on society.
Our hero was hiding in the brushes, he saw 3 mobians with gas masks leaving the house carrying one of the jackal to outside, two of them were carrying a bag full of treasures, it was easy to tell that since the bag was so full that anyone could see. He had to think on something and quickly, there was a huge curled wheat a few meters away from him that was being holden by some rocks so it wouldn't move around, Gadget had a brilliant idea.
??? 3: Our alliance ends here.
??? 1: Pleasure making business with you mister Fini-
Before he could finish his compliments, one of them was run over by the giant curled wheat, and the other started to laugh heavily, but the third mobian looked over to the hill and saw his potential enemy.
??? 3: We've been spotted!
??? 2: ARGH... WHO DARES?!?
Our hero were spotted on the top of the hill, the vision was perfect, the moon behind of him made impossible for those down there to see clearly who was there. Gadget rushed down the hill trying to reach the house, but failed when one of his enemies throwed a barrel full of treasures that was next to him.
??? 2: Bro, c'mon! That was our stuff!
Before the bandit could answer, Gadget managed to throw back a gold ingot right on the enemy's head knocking him out. At first, Gadget felt remorse, again, but turns out that it didn't knocked out his opponent completely. The bandit charged towards Gadget, if it wasn't for his grappling hook, he would be done. He was now on the roof of the house, starting at the two mobians, he saw someone running away, it was an echidna with a lot of rings on his arms, whoever it was, won't bother him.
??? 2: Get down here your prick!
??? 1: So I can smash your head into a wall!
Gadget was in a standoff, he needed to defeat those two in some way and help the Jackal Squad... yes, this wolf is indeed crazy enough already, maybe he is the king of the crazy people, he could run away, he could just leave everything behind... but no, it's not the right thing to do, and now he must deal with the double trouble.
Gadget: Who are you?
The bandits glares to each other, removing the masks and starting to getting closer to Gadget's position.
??? 1: You lookin' to scrap?
??? 2: Then get ready to crumble!
??? 1: Brace yourselves for...
