A week later the morning sun spills through your curtains, casting a warm glow over the room as you wake up in a rush. You are meeting with the CEOs of your two agencies today, and you overslept. You scramble out of bed, rushing through your morning routine, and throw on the first outfit you can find that looks remotely presentable.
Aizawa, on the other hand, seems to move at his typical leisurely pace, which only made your anxiety worse. He casually mentions that he wants to talk to you about something important, but you brush it off, promising to discuss it later as you need to leave immediately!
The two of you make it to the car just in time. Just as you arrive at Aizawa's agency, he brings up the topic once more. "Fine, what is it?" you sigh as you step out of the car and shut the door behind you.
Aizawa walks over to where you're standing, but before he can utter a word, his agent's voice calls out to the two of you. "Forget whatever you're talking about right now. It can wait. You don't want to keep the CEOs waiting, do you?"
Aizawa rolls his eyes at his agent and takes you by the hand, leading you inside to the meeting room. Inside your agent, Ann, is already there, and you take your seat beside her.
"Ann, what's this meeting about?" you quietly ask.
"The CEOs are pissed about something," she grumbles. "So pissed that they wouldn't tell me what it was, but it seems like there's some sort of issue. Again, I don't know the details, but it's definitely not good news."
You let out a groan of frustration, knowing that this couldn't have come at a worse time. Your eyes drift over to Aizawa, who is huddled with his agent, discussing the situation in hushed tones. The uncertainty in his eyes mirrored your own, and you both wonder what could be the cause of their irritation.
As the time for the meeting approached, you and Aizawa exchanged a nervous glance, both dreading what was to come. The room was filled with tension as the CEOs arrived, their expressions stern and unwavering.
Your mind raced with possibilities, trying to anticipate what might have gone wrong. Had the charade of your engagement been exposed? Was there a flaw in your partnership that they had discovered? The questions swirled in your head, but there was no time to find answers.
The tension only intensifies in the room as the CEOs begin to address their issues with your behavior at the gala. Their words are stern, leaving no room for anyone to argue. "You said there was no date set for the wedding?! Your idiotic thinking makes us appear unreliable and flakey!"
But the blow that hit hardest was when one of the CEOs slammed a photo on the table before you. It was the picture of you and Hawks, his arm casually draped around your waist. The CEO's accusing gaze made it clear they viewed this as a potential scandal.
You couldn't help but feel frustrated and defensive. "That's taken out of context," you started to protest, but your agent quickly nudged you, silently warning you not to speak. You looked to Aizawa, hoping for some support, but he too remained quiet, his face expressionless.
"The two of you need to plan a date for the wedding and get married as soon as possible... but without making it look rushed," the CEO of Aizawa's agency thinks aloud.
"One month from now," the other CEO then chimes in. "On the fifteenth."
Their decision was final right after the two of them shook hands. There was no room for negotiation.
The weight of their demands settled heavily on your shoulders, and you exchange a worried look with Aizawa. It was clear that the CEOs were serious, and the charade of your engagement has now taken an unexpected and demanding turn.
