Stiles snickers quietly to himself. "And that's just for Lupine One," he says under his breath.

His radio crackles to life as Erica replies. "Oh Batman. Are you saving the world again?"

Stiles pauses and looks up to see that even though Derek is wary his eyes are locked on his child. "Only that the father of this boy may be afraid of heights but he's doing this for his son and his son asked if I'll be here to save his daddy if he gets too scared."

Erica is quiet for a while and then responds. "It's all covered, Batman but don't get your heart too involved. They'll likely not return. I think they're on vacation or something."

Stiles feels his heart sink a little bit but replies. "Understood."

"AUNTIE CORA!!" Zeke calls out.

A woman on the adult course looks over and grins. "Hey little man. Are you having fun?"

"Uh huh, but daddy is so slow!"

"Oh, be nice to your daddy, kiddo. He can't help it. After all, he's an old man," she teases.

Derek sends a glare her way. "We're the same age, you gremlin!"

"Yeah but you're two minutes older!" she singsongs.

"Daddy why didn't we go on the big one with Auntie Cora?"

"Because you're still a little young for that one."

Zeke reaches up for the net to the Lupine Climb. "Then we have to come back next year and do it. Okay?"

"I don't know about that, Zeke."

"But daddy, it's so much fun! And then we can see Mr. Stiles again too. He's pretty and he's nice. Oh and strong!!"

Derek glances over to where their instructor stands with his arms crossed talking to a guest. He takes in the sight of perfectly bulging biceps, long slim fingers, pink pouty lips, broad shoulders and subtly nods. "Yeah. He's beautiful," he whispers before reaching for the net to start up the Lupine Climb himself.

When they finish all four Lupine Loops on the Cub Course, Derek glances over to where their instructor had been standing but Stiles isn't there anymore. Derek tells himself he is not disappointed as he walks Zeke over to get de-harnessed by the instructor.

"Hey! My name is Allison. How was it?" the dark haired woman asks as she helps them out of their harnesses.

Zeke beams. "It was so much fun and Daddy did the whole thing with me. He is so brave!"

Derek's ears twinge pink and the woman smiles at him. "It was nothing major," he mumbles.

"Daddy! That's not true. It was a very big deal cause you did it for me! Even Mr. Stiles said so!"

Allison quirks a brow at that statement and looks at Derek who blushes. "Uh yeah. Well Zeke, what do you say to Miss Allison for helping us?"

Zeke looks at her and smiles. "Thank you for helping us."

"My pleasure kiddo. Are you guys headed out then?"

Derek nods. "I think so. We're only waiting on my sister who went on the Howling Course."

"But, Daddy? Can't we say goodbye to Mr. Stiles? Please?" Zeke asks, his lip wobbling.

"I'm sure he's busy kiddo."

"Allison to Alpha." Derek's gaze snaps to her, his eyes going wide in question. She merely holds up a finger as her radio crackles.

"Go for Alpha," Stiles's voice replies back.
