Chapter 6: The Birthday Parties

                                                                      Still at Nathan's birthday party Violet is still having fun, stuffed with pizza and juice from the party but in the back of her mind the animatronics still worry her and she keeps looking over to see if they are following her or coming near her, Henry looks at the time and tells Violet they have to go, a little girl called Gwen which is one of David's children walks up to her holding an invite and tells her and Nathan in a really excited voice
"In a day's time I'd like you both to come oh please do come it will so much fun"
Violet looked hesitant then nodded, Nathan takes the invite and replies
"sure we'll come won't we Vi?"
Violet nods again taking the invite she then looks back at the animatronics and without a word she heads over to Henry holding the invite, Henry takes the invite and looks at it then looks over at David shouting to him
"Sure David we'll be there!"
David smiles and puts his thumb up, Henry smiles so he doesn't show that he's being horrible but he knows Violet is still a little nervous Henry takes Violets hand and takes her to the car, Violet finally speaks hesitantly looking at Henry
"Daddy do I have to go to Gwen's birthday party? the animatronics scare me"
"Well princess, I think it would be a great idea you do go I will see if Louise can look after you but sweetheart" Henry kneels down looking at Violet and puts his hand on her shoulder continuing to speak in a calm and loving manner putting his pinky out to her "You need to start making more friends your age and I think it would be good for you to be around kids your age but after this one I promise no more birthday parties for a while alright I double pinky promise"
Violet takes her dad's pinky with her own and holds it tight replying still hesitant
"Alright papa but after this no more promise me"
"I promise you princess after Gwen's birthday party no more at fazbears" Henry replies he hugs her gently, Violet lets go of the pinky and hugs him back stating to him a bit upset
"Thank you pa, I love you"
"I love you too princess, come on lets go home" Henry tells her lovingly and comfortingly then helps her into the car buckling her up then goes around and gets in himself buckling up. Henry drives home and parks up once he gets home.
                    Henry gets out of the car shuts his door, goes around to Violets side, helps Violet out of the car seeing how sleepy she is he picks her up into his arms and carries her to the door unlocks it and carries her into the house, takes her to the bedroom helps her into her pjamas and tucks her into bed putting the two plushbears under her arms kissing her head gently then quietly leaves her room and shuts her door he heads to his office inside the house and sits down he brings out his notebook and starts to write in it knowing he's likely going to have to fix the animatronics again while at Gwen's party; after he writes down all he needs to about the fixes and glitches that the animatronics have been known to have he turns on the monitor on his desk he sees Violet sleeping through the eyes of the plushbear that she's holding he takes a deep breath knowing how much he himself is putting her through but he vows in his head to keep her safe and to keep her as protected as he can, he turns off the monitor goes out of the office and goes to his room, gets into his pjamas and lays in bed and tries to fall asleep, after a little while he falls into a deep restful sleep.
                                            The next morning Henry wakes up and goes to Violet's room waking her up gently and softly, as Violet rubs her eyes as she sits up she smiles at Henry, he smiles back
"Morning princess"
"Morning papa what are we doing today?" Violet asks a bit excited
"Well im thinking we make Gwen a present today like you did for Nathan as tomorrow is her birthday" Henry replies with a smile
"I'd like that daddy" Violet exclaims ecstatic
"then princess then we shall do that" Henry replies with a grin
"Yay thanks papa" Violet replies with a grin
"I think we should have breakfast first though" Henry tells her informatively
"Yes Pa" Violet agrees smiling
Henry smiles goes to the kitchen and starts to make porridge for himself and Violet, as he does Violet goes and sits down at the table Henry hums softly while he cooks the porridge he stirs the pot humming softly, Violet giggles and also starts to hum Henry chuckles turns off the stove and brings over the bowls and dishes out the porridge; he sets the steaming pot back on one of the cold hobs and brings over spoons Henry instructs
"Blow on it princess it's going to be a bit hot"
"Yes Papa" Violet replies smiling sweetly then starts to blow on the porridge to cool it down before eating some, Henry also does the same. Twenty minutes later they finish their breakfast Henry takes out the bowls and then goes and gets the sowing kit again ready to make another plush toy Violet looks at the six patterns then she picks out the one that would make Gwen happy and starts to make it with Henry's help, once it is all sown together which takes hours and hours they wrap it up then they have sandwiches, cakes and cheese rolls for lunch and then do other fun things to fill the rest of the day. then they have noodles for dinner and goes to bed ready for the next day excited and nervous Violet goes into a deep sleep.
                                                 The next day Violet and Henry have their breakfast which is toast with butter and bananas on them after which they go and get dressed ready for the party Violet puts on red trousers with a black and white striped top and little black buckle up shoes, Henry puts on a white shirt and blue trousers with black shoes to look smart Violet smiles looking at Henry and states happily
"You look really smart daddy"
"Thank you princess and you look very pretty" Henry replies smiling
Violet smiles and picks up the present that they made for Gwen and holds her hand out to Henry, he smiles and takes her hand grabbing his keys and heads to the car he helps her into the car and buckles her up making sure the present doesn't get tangled up in the belt he then shuts her door and goes around to the other side getting in and buckling up as well he looks at Violet and asks
"Are you ready sweetheart?"
"Yes Papa I'm ready I'm still nervous though" Violet admits
"I know you are sweetheart I know but I promise that it will be alright" Henry reassures her giving her a kind and caring hug, Violet hugs him back then sits back, Henry starts up the car and starts driving as he does he puts Violet's favourite compact disc on to keep her distracted and to stop her thinking about the animatronics, as they drive to Freddy Fazbears Violet hums along to the music Henry smiles hearing her hum knowing she is now relaxing a little he dislikes Freddy Fazbears himself but he knows he has to take care of the animatronics, they pull into the carpark of Freddy Fazbears Pizzeria and finds a parking spot Henry parks up and turns the engine off he rubs Violet's hand comfortingly then gets out of the car shutting his door and goes around and helps her out of the car taking her hand shutting her door after getting her out of the way gently making sure she has the present he locks the car and takes her into the restaurant. Gwen sees them come in she runs over excited and hugs Violet and states smiling
"Thank you for coming"
Violet squeaks as she gets hugged she laughs a little then replies holding out the present
"This is for you"
Gwen smiles and takes the present and exclaims happily
"Thank you"
Gwen without hesitation opens the present seeing a handstitched marionette doll her face beams with pride as she looks it she hugs Violet again Henry chuckles and states
"I think she likes it sweetheart,  Tony and David are there if you need them I gotta go check Bonnie, chica and Freddy for a little while alright"
"Yes daddy" Violet chuckles and hugs Gwen back again Henry heads off to the backroom to do a bit of last minute maintenance on three of them, Gwen then grabs Violets hand and takes her over to where the kids are playing Violet starts to play with them starting to have fun and enjoying herself then an hour later out of the corner of her eye she spots Foxy starting to come over Violet starts to shake she takes a few deep breaths to keep herself calm but finding that isn't working she starts to back away from the other kids when she feels something behind her which is furry and feels like it's covered in sweat which then reminds her of what she saw in the backroom that horrible night, she turns around and there in front of her is another costume of Freddy, Golden Freddy, Violet screams and collapses into tears on the floor shaking the man in the costume tries to kneel and comfort her Violet screams some more starting to sob Gwen and Nate look over at Violet worried for her, David runs over to Violet picks her up off the floor looks at the man in the costume then back at Violet and asks concerned
"Vi what's wrong? do the costumes scare you?"
Violet sobbing nods, Tony had gone to go and get Henry, David rubs Violets back and waves the man off to move away Violet finally manages to say through the sobbing still seeing Foxy
"What.....what about Foxy?"
"We will move you away from Foxy as well alright and you can go back to playing once Foxy has moved" David calmly reassures her picking her up into his arm and moves away from the playarea Henry comes running back to them and asks Violet
"Sweetheart are you alright?"
Violet nods sniffling as she wipes her eyes she states as calmly as she can as she's very nervous, David sits her down on a chair and kneels down next to her as does Henry
"Mr David helped me papa"
Henry looks worried about her and kisses her head he states calmly and lovingly
"I just have a few more things I have to do then we can go home if you wish sweetheart"
Violet thinks about it for a few minutes then shakes her head
"I made a promise daddy, I promised I would come"
Henry nods and strokes her head softly and replies in a loving manner
"Alright princess, you wouldn't be breaking your promise to me if you did decide you wanted to go home"
"He's right Violet we won't be upset if you did go home" David reassures holding out a tissue
Violet shakes her head again and replies informatively after taking the tissue
"Not you papa or you Mr David I promised Gwen in my head"
"Alright sweetheart, we'll give it a few hours but if you do decide at any point that you want to go home you tell me alright" Henry states stroking her head gently
"I will papa" Violet replies wiping her eyes with the tissue
"Good girl" Henry tells her, David looks over and sees Foxy is gone David informs Violet
"Foxy has gone now perhaps it is his turn for maintenance you can go play now"
Violet nods and goes back to Gwen and Nate, David looks at Henry and states
"Poor girl she must have gone through some horrors to be that scared of them"
"Yes sadly she has regular nightmares about it but I'm afraid I don't know what triggered them, I tried to teach her about them from a young age however we was at freddy fazbears at a birthday party all of a sudden nightmares, it could have been them glitching out but I can't say for sure sorry David I better get back to work" Henry lied as he had actually known what caused the nightmares, Henry goes back to the back rooms to carry on with the maitenance work.
                                                        Violet is back playing with Gwen and Nate but at the back of her mind she feels like she was being watched, little did she know that she was by William Afton that had snuck around to one of the windows to watch the restaurant as it thrived and that's when Violet had caught his eye, perhaps Violet reminded William of Elizabeth his daughter that got scooped by Baby through his own negligence or perhaps it was something else however William didn't stick around for long he slunk off as soon as he heard one of the side doors about to be opened. Violet shook a little as she had a strange feeling she looked around she thought she saw a glimpse of a shadow outside the window but she decided to brush it off and to not worry this time, she took a breath and turned her attention back to Gwen and Nate determined to keep her promise to them or at least the promise she had made in her head to them; Gwen and Nate smile as they all play pinball one after the other Violet relaxed and joined in the fun pushing her thoughts to the back of her mind Gwen turns to Violet and asks
"Which is your favourite table?"
"Centaur" Violet tells her
"Mine too!" Nate exclaims excited
"Mine is black knight" Gwen grins replying
all three of the kids smile and carry on playing a little while later Henry comes back seeing them playing and smiling he relaxes with Tony and David hoping that nothing else will scare her tonight and that nothing will haunt her nightmares tonight although he has very little hope as it's the same nightmares he sees except his are very real and his are because of his old business partner; he watches all three of the children as they play he equally hopes that the three of them can become friends and help Violet with her fear and make her braver although he knows that would take a very long time perhaps even years. Henry takes a deep breath relieved at least to see Violet smiling and having a bit of fun despite the scare perhaps this is the start of how Violet gets better and gets over her fears Henry could only hope that it did as he did worry for that little girl as if she was his own, he felt like she was even though he knew that Violet was someone else's, he knew that one day she would find out however not just yet.

(this chapter is dedicated to a good friend of mine Gwen Cole as on the date 27/08/2023 or in america 08/27/2023  she was born happy birthday sweetie for when it comes in case I don't manage to get to be around for your birthday or in case the story is further ahead for birthday parties but this will always be here for that day! this chapter is my early birthday gift to her I had to get you a little party in there somewhere even though I can't actually give you a party or any birthday wishes personally.
