Reunited Love

Stopping in the middle of the road. I stared into the eyes of my long lost lover.

Releasing a breath I have been holding for centuries. Our eyes, a reflection of pain and sadness in its true form.

Glistening tears like small crystals glowing in our eyes while we stared at each other like the moon admiring the sun after being apart for miliena.

Yet none of us moved afraid that it would all disappear into thin air if we made a step closer to each other.

Wondering if it was all a dream or if we finally died, finding salvation for our sins at last.

Afraid it would end. We stayed completely paralysed and transfixed, consuming each other with our stare.

Speaking words that only the eyes could tell. The emotions swirling in our irises, a true reflection of the misery in the depths of our soul.

The eclipse in the dark sky bearing witness of two long lost soul meeting again.

Reunited at last after they both lost everything for the good of others...
