Six months into 2016 and Sarang was already gaining popularity in Korea. In January she had her first comeback and released another mini album called "Home". It did amazingly on the Korean charts. She even entered the top 20 of Melon hits. Her album sales were good too.

February brought her a very new experience. She got her first ever acting role in a historical drama called Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo. It had a great starcast with big names like IU, Lee Jongki, Kang Haneul, Baekhyun of Exo and other well known actors.

Though her role was a minor role she accepted it without hesitation

Though her role was a minor role she accepted it without hesitation. She had always wanted to try acting especially after she acted in Boy in Luv mv. Plus her inspiration, her idol IU was the main lead of the drama. There was no way she'd ever deny it.

She was surprised to know that her good friend Nam Joohyuk was casted in the drama too. She was elated that she had a familiar person with her on her first official acting gig.

Her role was of Chaeryung, HaeSoo's maid

Her role was of Chaeryung, HaeSoo's maid. She had a great time at the set and got along well with everyone. While shooting she grew close with everyone but to her great delight, IU (Jieun eunnie as she insisted to be called pretty early on in the shooting) and Sarang hit it right off the bat.
