Chapter- 11

"Things end but memories last forever."

•Siya's POV•

"You want something?" I dropped the vessel in my hand due to the sudden voice. It's voice echoed in the silent kitchen. I calmed my beating heart and turned to find Vasuda aunty.
After a long sleep I woke up hell hungry. Ah! This days I am more hungrier... I will be hungry everytime. I had slept in early morning and now it is past afternoon... nearing evening. I freshen up and went down. Thank god I didn't find anyone on my way.  The mansion was quite. I reached the kitchen, but didn't know what to do. I think the maids must have placed the dishes in fridge. I opened the fridge and found afternoon's lunch. I placed it back because I didn't desire to eat that food. What will I do now. I continue to search for something but nothing found which I could eat.

I thought to cook something and took out the utensils when Vasuda aunty entered.
I picked up the fallen thing and kept it on the counter before passing a small smile to her knowing that she won't reciproce it. She came inside and stood in a few distance from me. Gathering some courage I spoke.

"I..I.. t-thought..to make s-something to eat."
Her eyes soften knowing I may be hungry. She is my same maa, I know she can't be rude.

But she didn't show her care.

"No need, you go. I will make something." She said.

I scoffed. "N..no, I mean.. don't ta..ke trouble. I will make."

"There's no trouble, you tell what you want." She said blankly.

"But-" She cut me off and spoke "You go out and wait, I'll make something and bring. You shouldn't stand for long, Go!" She said softly.

I obliged and went out knowing that I couldn't argue.

I sat on the couch in the living room. My stomach grumbled in hunger. I caressed my belly with a small smile unknowingly.

•AUTHOR'S POV•

Arjun finished an important call and Sretched his muscles. He was feeling so tired by back to back calls. A strong coffee made by his masi's hand is now needed for him badly. He stepped out of his study, as soon as he begin walking towards the kitchen he saw Anjali standing there in the corridor  and looking down at the kitchen with her browse frowned in confusion.

He went to her and tapped her shoulder to gain her attention. Anjali flinched at his sudden action and looked at him.
"What are you looking at that interestingly!?" He asked.

Instead of speaking Anjali signaled him to look at the direction she was looking. He saw Siya sitting on the dining table like she is not interested to sit there. And Vasuda standing near her looking at her, with what called concern?

He was confused looking at them! Vasuda placed the food on her plate... it was looking like she is forcing Siya to eat.

He walked towards them and he could hear their voices.
"No... no.. I know you must have not eaten anything since you left for hospital last night! Now eat, you only said you are hungry." He heard Vasuda saying.

"What's going on?" Arjun asked standing beside Vasuda. Vasuda turned to him and sighed.
"See yourself, she is not eating anything properly. She is pregnant and she should be eating more now but she is denying everything. I didn't see her sitting and eating properly since she came!" She complained to him.

Arjun got remainded of samyukta's words listening to vasuda. He looked at both the ladies.
"You want something else? Alteast tell us what's your favourite food! You will be provided with that." He spoke to Siya with calmness for the first time in this 4 years.
