As Siya sat watching the images of the mansion engulfed in flames on the television screen, a shiver ran down her spine. Alongside the devastation of there home, another memory clawed its way into her consciousness—the horrifying thought of Arjun's death within those very walls.
"What if... if Arjun... my Arjun... was there? Oh god... No! No!" Vasuda cried harder, not able to even imagine it.
Vasuda Maa's words echoed hauntingly in her mind. The mere thought of Arjun's final moments sent a chill through her soul.
With tear-stained cheeks and a heavy heart, she whispered a silent prayer for his safety, unknown to her.
"Nothing like that could have happened. Arjun... he wouldn't leave me in the middle, I know he is safe... he is," she assured herself, her heart beating like never before.
Somewhere in the corner of her heart, a voice told her that her Arjun is somewhere safe. She scolded herself not to overthink about stupid things. Wiping her tears, she went near Vasuda and sat beside her.
"Vasuda Maa," Siya uttered, her voice trembling with apprehension as she reached out to grasp Vasuda's hands. "Don't even think about it... Nothing has happened to Arjun."
Vasuda's eyes mirrored Siya's own turmoil, her expression etched with worry and despair. "Siya, my child," she murmured, her voice choked with emotion. "I cannot bear it either. The mere thought of Arjun in danger... it's unbearable."
Siya nodded, her throat constricted with unspoken fears. "We have to believe that he's safe, Vasuda Maa," she said, her voice tinged with desperation.
"He is somewhere else... He was not in the mansion, he told me he is going somewhere. He's safe," Vasuda relaxed a little hearing Siya.
