DAISY HAD NEVER been more relieved that Draco had found out every detail of her past. He had been watching the girl like a hawk, making sure she was resting when she could, eating and taking potions to help her sleep. Her mood had improved. Daisy was grateful for Draco. She was scared that this would push him away.

Their last lesson for the first week back at Hogwarts was Defence Against the Dark Arts. Daisy usually loved this lesson, however she was quick to discover their new professor had attended Harry's hearing at the ministry during the school holiday.

Daisy had gotten to the classroom before her friends, stopping via her fathers office to pick up another dreamless sleep potion. She was getting better, but there were still times she struggled. Students began piling into the classroom, selecting their favourite seats with their friends, chatting away. "Draco, over here!" Daisy shouted as she saw the blonde walk into the classroom, Crabbe and Goyle behind him.

"Hi Dais." The boy smiled, placing his wand atop the desk in front of them. "Did you get what you needed?" She nodded, taking out her quill and notebook.

"Yeah. At least it's the weekend after this lesson." Daisy smiled, resting her head on top of the boys shoulder. "I'm feeling a Hogsmeade trip tomorrow." She suggested.

"Yeah? Just us two?" Draco asked the girl.

"Just us two." She smiled towards him, sitting up as she noticed the lesson would be starting soon. The chatter in the room died down as the woman dressed in pink entered, the room falling silent. Daisy already knew she did not like this woman's presence.

"Good morning, children. Ordinary Wizarding Level examinations. O-W-Ls. More commonly known as OWLs. Study hard and you will be rewarded. Fail to do so, and the consequences may be severe." The professor used her wand to write information on the chalkboard, students sinking back in fear. It was their most important year at Hogwarts. Exam's to prepare them for their final two years at Hogwarts. She wasn't worried, she had always excelled in her exams. "Your previous instruction in this subject has been disturbingly uneven. But you'll be pleased to know, from now on you will be following a carefully structured, Ministry-approved course of defensive magic." The witch used her wand to distribute a text book onto each students desk, Daisy opening the book to read the content. Theory. No magic.

Hermione was the first to raise her hand. "There's nothing in here about using defensive spells?" She questioned, still flicking through the book.

"Using spells? Well, I can't imagine why you would need to use spells in my classroom." The woman let out a high pitched giggle, shooting a puzzling look towards her students.

"We're not gonna use magic?" Ron questioned, the class looking back at their professor.

"You'll be learning about defensive spells in a secure, risk-free way." Umbridge replied, sitting on the edge of her desk. Daisy was confused. How could they learn about defending the dark arts without magic?
