In the Underworld
3rd person POV:
Argent can be seen battling an army of demons. They kept coming tirelessly, attacking him without giving him room to breathe.
The demons mostly consisted of greater and lesser demons. They encountered Argent and attacked him thinking he was a weak greater demon, they soon learned the consequences of their decision.Argent's POV:
The life of an immortal really is boring. There are very few things to do around here, except the occasional fights I have with the other primordials and demons that think they can fight me and leave unharmed.
After my last meeting with Veldanava, I decided to establish my own territory in the underworld.
I've done nothing but wander this realm endlessly without a place to call my own, the others have their territories, so I decided to get mine as well. After spending a long time searching for a place suitable for habitation, I finally found the perfect place but, it was a battle ground for demons. They attacked me on site but it was more of a hassle than an actual battle. They didn't pose a threat to me. I dispatched them with speed and accuracy in order to get to building my place as quickly as possible.
They are relentless, even employing the help of demon beasts to fight me off. The beasts are strong but not strong enough. Blow after blow the number of demons and demon beast decreased rapidly. I would have used a large scale nuclear magic to clear them all at once but it would ruin the land. I therefore refrained from using such magic and went with hand to hand combat.
It's kind of funny how my life has changed so drastically from a middle aged man who was giving his best to survive in the corporate world to a primordial entity who is friends with god himself and fights demons on a daily basis. At this point, it's not even funny. When I think I can relax and enjoy a little 'me-time', I am always interrupted by demons who want test their strength or just want to die for no apparent reason.
As the battle raged on, I noticed that a couple demons didn't close in to attack me. On the contrary, they seem to be fighting the other demons for me. When I inspected them properly I noticed they belong to my lineage. I wonder why they are fighting for me.
" nuclear flame" I heard a demon yell, without even moving an inch from where I stood, I redirected the flame towards the other demons who were attacking me.
"Aaahaaah"
They all disintegrated the moment the attack made contact.
That demon must have really put all his strength into that attack." How are you so strong?"
The demon who cast the magic asked.
" You mean to tell me that you attacked me without knowing who you were attacking?" I asked perplexed.
That's next level stupid but, it also made sense. If a demon came to know that the person they were about to fight is a primordial, they would run immediately. Rouge and the others always made it known that they were primordials by going around killing every demon they came across or any that provoked them. It was to the point that every demon in the underworld knows how they look like. They also had their auras loose so it was always easy to tell if the demon in front of you was a primordial.
I, on the other never did that. I always restrained my aura and I always fought and killed any demon in my way without initiating a conversation, I mean these bastards always attacked me with pure killing intent so talking with them was out of the question.
I'm actually quite famous, I was given the epithet ' Abyss demon'. Every demon is aware of the name, they know the abyss demon is the silver primordial, but they've probably forgotten my face since i look a little different from how i looked back then. According to Veldanava, i looked like a rabid monster.
Only the other primordials know how I look like.
