Argent's POV:

'How in the world did I get myself in this situation?' I couldn't help but ask myself as I stared at the dead bodies around me and the old man who was on the verge of death.

I was relaxing in my castle when I was suddenly summoned out of the blue.
I didn't think there would be someone capable of summoning a primordial, especially me. The amount of energy it takes to do that is tremendous. Only beings with a fairly large amount of magicule reserves can do such, beings such as high humans, high dwarves, high elves and vampires etc In fact they as well would have trouble summoning a primordial.

To my astonishment, the ones who summoned me were humans, a race originating from the high humans but are far inferior to them. It can be said that they are a degraded form of the high humans.

After millions of years of breeding, the blood of the higher races have began to grow thin in their offsprings. This has lead to the birth of elves, dwarves and humans. They are inferior to the high elves and high humans and high dwarves in many ways; lower capacity and tolerance for magicules, mortal life span just to name a few.

This was why I was shocked to see that I was summoned by humans. Most of them were dead though due to being unable to handle the strain.
Only the old man was left, but his life was slipping very fast.

Here I am standing in a place I would call a temple, directly on an altar. The temple was obviously falling apart. The stone pillars and ceilings that were decrepit looking and falling apart made that clear. The blood stains on the ground and walls also indicated that a battle had happened. It was currently night time, a time most convenient for cultists to perform their rituals.

I could feel the negative emotions coming from the man, not only that, negative emotions permeated the entire town. It is the anger, regret, sorrow and anguish of the people who once lived here. As a demon, I am very sensitive to negative emotions. It is what we feed on.

"Oh great demon I beseech your help. Sacrificing the lives of my people, I have summoned you here to help me take revenge on the people who have slaughtered, violated and abused my kind. I offer all the souls and bodies of my people including mine. Please great one, help me." The old man was bowing in subservience.

He looked decrepit, so do the bodies of every body here. They must have used up their life force in order to summon me. "Tell me who it is that has you so desperate to seek the help of a demon." I asked.

If he was going through all this trouble just for revenge, It made me curious who could have done such a thing. Expanding, my [Magic sense], I noticed that I was summoned in fairly large town. It housed over two thousand people if I'm right. Upon closer inspection, I couldn't sense any life force in this village. Every inhabitant was dead. Their bodies looking shriveled and decrepit as the bodies before me.

'He really did offer his entire people as sacrifice.' I mused. The whole town seemed to have been under attack. The damaged buildings as well as the fires was a tell tale sign.

"Those damned........high humans, they caused.......all of this. They go about, attacking......neighbouring nations, kidnapping.......it's citizens while killing.............those who resisted. They are.........plagues that walk and breath. For people who call themselves...............our ancestors, they are cruel and show no mercy to us." The old man could barely speak.

'The high humans again? The first time I was summoned, the high humans were involved, this time as well?' I thought thinking back to when Veldanava told me about his dissatisfaction with the high humans.

They are conceited and possess violent tendencies, they were deemed failures. It's why their true ancestor, Twilight abandoned them.

Veldanava tolerates them. He couldn't bring himself to wipe them out.
Staring back at the old man, I ask "You desire for retribution to be meted to the high humans, am I right?" I asked.
