Third person POV:
In the silent chamber of the palace of the first Demon lord, deep within the northernmost region of the world, The crimson-eyed Demon lord, Guy , known to some as the primordial Rouge—sat elegantly on a well furnished chair. Sitting opposite him was Rimuru Tempest. In the far corner of the room, stood the faithful servant of demon lord Guy, Vert, who was named Misery.
Rimuru Tempest had come to meet with Guy after his long absence in the world, seeking to discuss the current state of the world and perhaps learn a few things from his fellow ancient demon. As he sat across Guy who was lounging on his throne-like chair, a glass of wine in hand.
"Rimuru," Guy started, his voice smooth and unbothered, "I'm glad to see you haven't grown weaker since I last saw you. Colour me impressed, the fact that you can fight toe to toe with me is intriguing. Tell me what sort of power is responsible for your growth?" Guy questioned, wanting to know what sort of skill made Rimuru grow during their battle in such a manner. It defied common logic.
Rimuru chuckled, shaking his head. "Of course. I've spent billions of years fighting the cryptids that spawned from Ivarage's magicules. Each one possessing power greater than mine at the time, so it makes sense that you wouldn't be able to defeat me that easily. Also why are you so curious about my abilities? You don't see me probing you about your skills now do you?."
Guy amused, said "Well you already know about my skill, so why shouldn't I know about yours."
Rimuru waved his hand dismissively.
"I know about your skill because I deduced its functions easily. If you can't deduce mine then forget about it." Taking a sip of the wine served to him. He continued "A lot has happened in the world since I left, and I figured you’d have your own insights to share. Plus," Rimuru paused, giving Guy a curious look, "Your emergence caused the most stir, that's why I’ve been meaning to ask you about something.""Oh?" Guy leaned forward slightly, intrigued. "And what might that be?"
Rimuru took another sip of his wine savouring it as best as he could while leaning back comfortably. "How did you awaken? From what I know, evolving past the arch demon level was almost impossible without a name, evolving even further should be even more impossible unless there are some requirements to fulfill and I figured that I'd learn about it from you."
Guy smirked, his crimson eyes gleaming with interest. "Curious, are you? Well, it’s not exactly something I share with just anyone. But since it’s you, I suppose I can indulge you. You also have the zeal to evolve to the highest level don't you? That's what makes you different from Noir."
Guy set his wine glass down and leaned back into his chair, his gaze turning distant as he recalled events long past. "It began when those foolish high humans summoned me........"
Guy then began to recount his experience and how he managed to evolve. The story wasn't different from what Veldanava told Rimuru, but there was somethings that piqued Rimuru's interest.
One of them being "Souls?" Rimuru asked.
Guy relaxed as ever replied "Yes human souls. At least ten thousand of it would be enough to make you evolve. Those who evolve reach a status that Veldanava and I call the True Demon Lord status. In order to meet the base requirements, an individual has to fulfill certain conditions, at which point they become a Demon Lord seed. To become a full-fledged demon lord, one is required to 'germinate the seed' using the equivalent of ten thousand human souls. Once all that is done, evolution shall begin with the commencement of the harvest festival."
Rimuru pondered on Guy's words. Reaching his own conclusions "I'm guessing to become a demon lord seed, one has to cultivate their power to the utmost. Then maybe one can obtain the seed."
