As I continued with my usual repetitive routine of working at the café, I couldn't help but feel a sense of monotony creeping into my life. Every day seemed to blend together, and I longed for a change of scenery and a break from the city's fast-paced lifestyle. Determined to break free from the cycle, I made a bold decision to take a much-needed break and have a "me time" weekend.

With newfound excitement, I woke up early in the morning, determined to make the most of my last few hours of work before my long-awaited leave. I walked briskly towards my manager's office, preparing myself for the negotiation ahead. To my surprise, the conversation went smoother than I anticipated. My manager understood my need for a break and granted me leave without hesitation. Relief washed over me as I realised I would finally have a chance to rejuvenate and recharge.

As I returned to my duties for the remaining hours of the day, a renewed energy coursed through my veins. The mundane tasks that had previously felt burdensome now seemed more manageable, knowing that a well-deserved respite awaited me. I exchanged smiles and small talk with my colleagues, excitedly sharing the news of my upcoming vacation.

Colleague 1: "Hey, you seem to be in a great mood today! What's the occasion?"

Y/N: "I just got my leave approved! I'm taking a short vacation this weekend."

Colleague 2: "That's fantastic news! You've been talking about needing a break for a while now."

Y/N: "Yes, I really need this. It's been too long since I had some time to myself."

Colleague 3: "Where are you planning to go?"

Y/N: "I haven't decided yet, but I'm thinking of going to a countryside retreat to unwind and disconnect from the city's hustle."

Colleague 1: "Sounds like the perfect plan! You'll come back all refreshed and ready to take on the world."

As I diligently focused on my tasks at my station in the café, my attention was suddenly drawn to a group of girls huddled together in a cosy corner. Their presence exuded a captivating aura, and I couldn't help but admire their beauty and grace as they engaged in animated conversation. It felt as though time stood still as I found myself captivated by their charm.

Lost in my admiration, I was startled when one of the girls from the group abruptly stood in front of me at my station. I could feel a rush of embarrassment flooding over me, realising that my attention had been so visibly fixed on them. With a hint of a smile playing on her lips, she broke the silence, and I quickly regained my composure, ready to assist her with any requests she might have.

Karina: "Hi there! Could I get a green tea, please?"

Me: "Of course! Coming right up."

Karina: Smiling "Thank you. You seemed quite lost in thought earlier. Everything alright?"

Me: Blushing Slightly "Oh, uh, yes, everything's fine. Just a little distracted, I guess."

Karina: "Well, we can all use a little distraction from time to time, right?" Friendly Wink

Me: Nervously Chuckling "Yes, that's true. Enjoy your green tea."

As she returned to her friends, I couldn't help but feel a mix of embarrassment and curiosity. I wondered if she had sensed my momentary infatuation with their group, and yet she seemed kind and understanding about it. The encounter lingered in my mind throughout the day, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the upcoming weekend.
