"This guy... he's dangerous, more than I imagined," Tozen thought as he surveyed the scene of carnage before him. Corpses, under Kohaku's control, surrounded them menacingly. Hajime launched a fireball at one of the corpses, but it had little effect. Kohaku's mocking laughter echoed through the forest.
"You think your puny fire can harm my beloved corpses?" Kohaku taunted. "I've used them to dispatch many B Rank Mahoh Shikai. Now, I'll relish in your suffering as I watch you die painfully, just like those Mage."
Tozen's face grew serious as he glanced at Hajime. "Let's go, Hajime. We can't die here, especially not at the hands of this scumbag," he said, readying his wooden sword. Hajime unsheathed his katana with determination. "Let's do this!" he declared, rushing towards the encroaching corpses.
Tozen utilized his magics to knock down the advancing corpses, while Hajime enveloped his sword in flames, inflicting damage but not aiming to kill. Their goal was to create an escape route from the surrounding horde. After an intense battle, they finally spotted a path leading back to the village.
However, their relief was short-lived as they were suddenly knocked back into the forest. "GAH!" Both teens cried out in pain as they saw Kohaku blocking their only escape route. "Why leave so soon? The party's just getting started," Kohaku sneered, brandishing his knife.
Angered, Hajime attempted to charge at Kohaku, but the corpses moved to shield their master. Separated and outnumbered, Hajime and Tozen fought desperately against the relentless onslaught. Despite their efforts, exhaustion began to take its toll.
"They're... too many," Hajime thought, gasping for breath as the horde closed in. Just when it seemed hopeless, a chilling voice echoed in Hajime's mind, and black lightning crackled around him.
In an instant, the corpses around him were obliterated, as were those surrounding Tozen. Shocked by this sudden turn of events, Kohaku's expression shifted from amusement to fear. "How lucky am I... I finally found you... Nonaka's remnant!" he exclaimed, charging at Hajime with terrifying speed.
As Kohaku attempted to strike, Hajime's hand intercepted with surprising strength. Despite this, Kohaku managed to kick him back. Undeterred, Hajime rose to his feet, surrounded by crackling black lightning. With blinding speed, he closed the distance and nearly struck Kohaku's neck, drawing blood.
Kohaku, now fearful, summoned more corpses to shield himself. But Hajime's katana sliced through them effortlessly. With a swift movement, he cleaved Kohaku in half with a single stroke, his katana radiating with ominous black energy.
As Kohaku fell, Hajime turned towards Tozen with a horrified expression. However, his path was blocked by another figure—Satou Kazuhiko, a formidable S Rank Mahoh Shikai.
"Looks like I'm late... but what is this?" Kazuhiko look at Hajime. "He just killed an Black Shamans himself? And that easy? Right before I reached here?" Kazuhiko scanned through the environment, immediately know what happened before he reached to the area.
Hajime's blade met unexpected resistance as it clashed against Kazuhiko's own. With a smirk, Kazuhiko effortlessly deflected the attack, showcasing his formidable skill.
"Satou Kazuhiko," Kazuhiko stated calmly, his voice carrying an air of authority. "S Rank Mahoh Shikai of the Mahoh Association."
Hajime's eyes narrowed as he assessed his new adversary. The introduction only deepened the mystery surrounding Kazuhiko's presence and intentions.
