Saturday morning, the trio—Hajime, Yasu, and Ken—got off a bus at a fancy mountain resort. They stared at the grand Onsen Ryokan, trying to understand why they were there.

"Uh... are we sure this isn't a vacation spot?" Yasu asked, looking doubtful.

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure... Headmistress wouldn't make that kind of mistake," Ken replied, though he wasn't entirely convinced.

Just then, an old man walked out of the ryokan, with Kazuhiko beside him.

"Dad... so you're the one in charge of this mission..." Ken said, feeling a bit frustrated.

As they got closer, the old man introduced himself as Satou Katsuyori, head of the Satou Clan and father to both Kazuhiko and Ken. He explained that they were there to investigate something on the mountain.

"Mountain again, huh?" Hajime sighed, remembering past adventures.

"Don't worry, this time you're with us. And Father here is known as the second strongest after Toki, your headmistress," Kazuhiko reassured them with a smile.

"Well, if they say so, then there's no other way," Katsuyori said proudly, laughing.

"Yep, definitely 100% Ken's father," Yasu muttered to himself, amused.

Katsuyori told them they could relax and enjoy themselves, giving them the keys to their rooms.

Once inside, Hajime started a discussion about their mission.

"What do you guys think we'll find up the mountain this time? Corpses? Black Shamans?" he wondered aloud.

"I think Black Shamans are the most likely. They're known for scaring and stalking visitors, even killing people at viewpoints," Yasu guessed, stroking his chin.

"There could be worse. Black Shamans have been known to summon dangerous spirits or even resurrect and corrupt historical figures, making life tough for mages," Ken added.

"In any case, I don't want to hang around here for fun. I'd rather go straight to the mountain, whether there are Black Shamans or not," Yasu said firmly.

"Agreed. Shall we head out now?" Hajime suggested, getting nods from Yasu and Ken.

"Alright, let's go," Hajime sighed, ready to start their task.

Meanwhile, outside, Kazuhiko and Katsuyori were talking.

"Are you sure about this, Father? Letting them go on their own? They're still students, they're still inexperienced," Kazuhiko said, worried.

"Don't worry. This is the best way for them to grow. Besides, with Ken there, even high-ranking Black Shamans couldn't touch him, as long as they can't figure out our magic," Katsuyori said confidently.

"As you say..." Kazuhiko sighed, still unsure.
