Chapter 07 - Black Flames

            The air crackled with tension as Hajime rushed towards Ken, his fists wreathed in flames that seemed to dance with an otherworldly energy. Ken's eyes widened in shock as he felt the searing heat of Hajime's punch, a sensation unlike anything he had ever experienced before.

             With a swift counterattack, Ken lashed out at Hajime, his fist aimed squarely at his chest. But to his surprise, Hajime's hand intercepted the blow, the force behind it noticeably diminished. Ken's eyes narrowed in realization as he watched Hajime's flames seemingly neutralize the full impact of his strike.

          "What the hell are those flames...it can divide my maatsu enhancement" Ken think. He quickly punches at Hajime's chest but got blocked by Hajime's hand. "The strike, it doesn't as heavy as just now! Did these flames help me to divide his power?!" Hajime is shocked as well, looking at the flames and thinking.

             In a flurry of motion, the two adversaries continued their dance of combat, each move calculated and precise. Hajime's punches were relentless, each one guided by the flickering flames that surrounded him. Yet, Ken proved to be a formidable opponent, his reflexes honed to a razor's edge as he deftly avoided Hajime's attacks.

           "Gotcha!" Ken then sweeps kick at Hajime's body, but Hajime jump up to the sky. Hajime try to punch on Ken's head but got stopped when it almost reaches to Ken's head. Hajime quickly back flip away to keep the distances.

         "Just as I thought, even if my flames now can divide his power... that doesn't mean I can bypass that unknown barriers around them" Hajime think.

         "Did he just almost bypassed my "Distortion"...?" Ken look at Hajime shockly, as then the smirk come back right from the mood of shocks. "Well...that's normal...if he can divide my Maatsu enhancement, then it won't be surprise that he can divide my "Distortion" as well."

         With a sudden burst of speed, Hajime leaped into the air, his fist aimed squarely at Ken's head. But before he could make contact, Ken reacted with lightning-fast reflexes, dodging out of harm's way and delivering a sweeping kick that sent Hajime crashing to the ground below.

          As Hajime staggered to his feet, his body aching from the force of Ken's blow, he knew that he needed to change tactics if he had any hope of emerging victorious. With a determined glint in his eye, he summoned the smokes to cloak his movements, a shroud of mystery that obscured Ken's sight.

          Ken remained vigilant, his senses on high alert as he scanned the smokes for any sign of Hajime's next move. But as he turned to his left, he realized his mistake too late. Hajime burst forth from the smoke, his fists a blur as he unleashed a flurry of punches that found their mark with chilling accuracy.

          With a grunt of pain, Ken felt the impact of each blow reverberate through his body, his "Distortion" crumbling under the relentless assault. "Well...looks like I need to end this before this gone worst" Ken said as he raised his hand.

        A surge of Dark Maatsu erupted from his surroundings, ensnaring Hajime within its grasp.

        The forcefield got remove afterward, Hajime lay on the ground, heavy breathing as his flames got removed as well. "Looks like it's end, you're really the first one that able to hit me after I used my full power against with, your magics are truly magnificent." Ken said as he looks at Toki as she nodded. "Well, according to your performance Nonaka Hajime...your class will be at 1-A, and the elite class of first year students." Toki said and look at Hajime.

         Hajime smiled after hearing the words. "Thanks, Madam."
