Hatred Is A Virus

"Can you guys, just stay here please, I need to go buy some ingredients for poke puffs and macaroons." Serena turned the knob to the front door and opened it.

"Sure!" Ash smiled.

"You sure you won't need help with groceries?" Calem asked.

"No, I'll be fine, but thanks anyways. Bye guys." She exited the house and closed the door behind her and immediately exhaled.

"Well that was weird. What in the world was that? They just won't leave me alone." Serena sweatdropped as she started to walk to the nearest grocery store.

The moment Serena left, Ash and Calem started each other down.

"Why are you guys constantly talking to Serena?" Bonnie laid down of her stomach, her hand holding her head up.

"What do you mean?" Calem turned around.

"I mean you guys keep bothering her." Bonnie starred at them.

They both looked down at her as she sat on the couch starring at them.

"You guys are so weird." Bonnie face palmed herself and then went back to watching her favorite t.v. show.

Ash and Calem both avoided each other, when ever they passed by each other they looked in the other direction. They waited for Serena to come back, but it was getting late, so they decided to sit in the living room and watch t.v. once Bonnie left to go play with Pikachu and Dedenne.

"So, how do you know Serena?" Calem asked.

Ash didn't want to answer, by he did anyway, "Summer camp. I found her in the forest, hurt. She hurt her knee and I wrapped a handkerchief to it." He smiled. They were so young. "Then I led her out of the forest."

Calem thought back to when Serena left to go to summer camp. He wished he convinced her not to go. He did try though, he complained about how he wouldn't be able to play with anyone over summer, but it failed. It would take much more then that to convince Serena's mom.

"Oh." Calem looked up at the ceiling.

"You?" Ash asked.

"Neighbors." Calem responded.

Ash thought of what would of happened if he was neighbors with Serena. He wondered what it would be like. He would watch her practice Ryhorn riding and hang out with her when he got bored. He smiled at the thought.

"How did you guys meet up again?" Calem asked out of boredom.

"I came here to Kalos to win the Pokemon League and become a Pokemon Master." Ash smiled.

"Oh and how did Serena find you?"

"I think she told me that she saw me on t.v. and she decided to return the handkerchief I gave her while we were at summer camp."

Calem wore a frown as Ash smiled remembering his journey with his friends in Kalos.

But the frown disappeared as the front door opened and Serena stepped in with grocery bags.

"Hey, Serena!" Ash lifted up his hat and stayed seated in the chair he sat in.

Calem turned around to her and said, "Hey."

"Hi guys, sorry that I was gone for a while, I had trouble finding the right ingredients." She set the bags down on the counter in the kitchen and started to put away the groceries.

"No it's fine, as long as we get to have some of those delicious macaroons and poke puffs later on tonight." Ash sat up and started to help Serena put the groceries away.

"Sure, but only if you promise to not eat all of them." Serena laughed.

"I can't promise." Ash laughed too as put away the eggs.

Calem looked at the two and then starred away. He hated it when Ash made Serena laugh or smile. Worst of all blush. He should be the one making her smile and laugh, not him.

After a while, Serena and Clemont both made dinner and dessert. Clemont still made Bonnie sit in the living room, knowing she would bring up Korrina and him again so she could sit in the living room.

Clemont made spaghetti for dinner and Serena made macaroons and poke puffs for dessert. By the time Serena and Clemont were done cooking, they were covered in flour and spaghetti sauce.

Then, after everyone ate, everyone heading for bed. Everyone got into their night wear and headed to sleep. But before they went to bed Calem asked something.

"Hey, Serena is there anywhere I else I can sleep? I don't want to sleep with Ash, he always wakes me up in the mornings with him falling off his bed and getting shocked by his Pikachu." Calem asked.

"Don't worry Calem, he'll be sleeping in my room so he won't be bothering you." Serena said.

"What!? Ash is going to sleep with Serena! No this can't be happening. I shouldn't of mentioned anything." Calem mentally slapped himself for saying something about it.

Serena headed for her room and laid down on the left side of the bed.

Ash followed and said, "Goodnight." to Calem.

Calem didn't respond, instead he stomped into his room, turning the lights off and jumped down onto his bed. He starred up at the side of room where Ash should of been sleeping. Calem crossed his arms and stood back up and off his bed. He walked out of the room saw that Serena's bedroom door was slightly open. He looked through the crack and saw Ash sleeping right next to Serena, sound asleep. That should be him sleeping there. Not Ash. Calem had to do something before Ash could steal Serena away from him- and soon.

Calem stormed back to his room and laid down in his bed as he thought.

By the time he fell asleep, his hatred for Ash grew more and more as if an infection slowly grew inside of him, some kind of virus. It couldn't be spread, because it was a virus that was inside everyone, just waiting for the perfect time to take over. The virus would make him feel sick and nauseous. And it made him feel pain. A special pain that only the virus could give you that would become worse as it spread and became more powerful, taking over the host slowly and painfully.
