Layla walked into the room where Stefan and Damon were and saw Vicki. "Oh, good you found the baby vamp" Layla said. "You could've helped" Stefan said.
"And ruin my marathon of watching Derek Hale no thanks" Layla said. "I don't understand why I have to stay cooped up in here" Vicki said.
"Probably because you nearly killed Tyler your jerk off of an ex" Layla said. "Why can't I just go home" Vicki asked.
"Because you're changing Vicki and it's not something you wanna do alone" Stefan said.
"There's nothing about that Logan guy I killed in here not a word someone's covering it up" Damon said. "What is that" Vicki asked. "This is a very special very old compass" Damon said.
"What was Logan Fell doing with it aren't you curious" Damon asked.
"No but knowing you, you are and I'm sure my dear brother will figure out what it is right" Layla said to Damon.
"Right, you are baby sister" Damon said. "Well, if you're so worried that somebody's onto you why don't you just leave town Damon" Stefan said.
"We should all be worried" Damon said. "Hey um I'm hungry" Vicki said. "Do you have anything to eat" Vicki asked. Stefan grabbed a mug and gave it to Vicki.
"Here" Stefan said. "What is it" Vicki asked. "It's what you're craving" Stefan said. "Huh don't lie to the girl it's so not what you're craving" Damon said.
"But it will do the trick just as fine at least for now even if it's disgusting" Layla said.
"What is it" Vicki asked. "Yeah, what is it, is it skunk, Saint Bernard, Bambi" Damon said.
"Seriously people blood is so much better" Layla said. "Go on give it a try" Stefan said and Vicki did.
"She's new she needs people blood she can't sustain on that stuff" Damon said. "Mm yeah why can't I have people blood" Vicki asked. "Yeah" Damon said.
"Because it's wrong to prey on innocent people Vicki" Stefan said.
"You don't have to kill to feed just find someone really tasty and then erase their memory afterwards it's so easy" Damon said.
"I've done it thousands of times without killing anybody" Layla said. "No, no, no there's no guarantee that you can control yourself okay" Stefan said.
"Fine be a bore" Layla said. "It takes years to learn you could easily kill somebody and then you have to carry that with you for the rest of your life which if I haven't made clear is eternity" Stefan said.
"Don't listen to him he walks on a moral plane way out of our eye line I say snatch, eat, erase" Damon said. "Diddo" Layla said.
"Hey, look at me" Stefan said and Vicki did. "We choose our own path our values our actions they define who we are" Stefan said. "Okay Count Deepak I am outta here" Damon said.
"Layla, you, coming" Damon asked. "Sure, as long as we get a snack on the way" Layla said and left with Damon.
Damon and Layla heard the doorbell and went to answer it seeing Elena. "Elena" Layla said, and Elena smiled at Layla. "Is Stefan here" Elena asked. "Yep" Damon said.
"Where is he" Elena asked. "And good morning to you little Miss I'm on a mission" Damon said.
"Damon" Layla said. "How can you be so arrogant and glib after everything that you've done" Elena asked.
"And how can you be so brave and stupid to call a vampire arrogant and glib" Damon asked.
"If you wanted me dead, I'd be dead" Elena said. "Yes, you would" Damon said. "But I'm not" Elena said. "Yet" Damon said.
