Damon just dropped Layla off at school before driving off. Jeremy saw Layla and ran up to her.
"Layla hey" Jeremy said. "Hey Jer" Layla said. "So, listen um thanks for last night" Jeremy said.
"Oh, it was no problem really I mean I know what it's like to lose someone you care about at least once or a dozen times maybe more it's not an unfamiliar feeling" Layla said.
"Well still thanks" Jeremy said. "It's no big deal" Layla said, and Jeremy smiled. "So you still seeing Anna" Layla asked.
"I think I kinda messed it up" Jeremy said. "Jer" Layla said. "I know trust me I know I'm an idiot" Jeremy said. "Look at that he's getting smart" Layla said. "Hey" Jeremy said causing Layla to laugh.
"I gotta go but thanks for the laugh" Layla said and walked off heading inside the building.

Layla was at her locker when Caroline walked up to her. "Layla I'm so glad you're here" Caroline said.
"Caroline hey hi haven't heard from you in a while" Layla said. "I know I'm a terrible friend I will do better promise" Caroline said.
"What, no you're not i never said you were a bad friend I mean you tend to be a little too judgey but other than that you're okay I suppose" Layla said.
"Hey, how's Jeremy" Caroline asked. "Devastated but he lost a friend so really who could blame him" Layla said and Caroline smiled.
"You're a good friend to him you know" Caroline said. "Yeah, well everyone needs a friend" Layla said. "And that's all he is a friend" Caroline asked.
"Yea just a friend plus he's not exactly my type" Layla said. "Very well" Caroline said.
"How's Matt" Layla asked. "He's hanging in there I guess I don't know when I tried to comfort him, he brushed me off and then when Elena shown up" Caroline said.
"Probably because they've known each other forever their close they dated try to remember you guys just started hanging out or dating or whatever it's going to take time to warm up to someone with things like this not everyone will spill their guts to the first person they see" Layla said.
"But if he continues to be a jerk call me and I'll teach him a lesson for hurting you in my favorite way" Layla said, and Caroline nodded.
"Thanks Layla" Caroline said. "Of course," Layla said and the bell rang.
"Catch up later" Layla asked and Caroline nodded. Layla smiled at her and headed off to class.

"You gonna ask me that every time" Layla asked. "Fair point" Damon said and sat on Laylas bed.
"Have you spoke to Stefan" Damon asked Layla. "Not recently" Layla said before she looked at Damon who had a worried look on his face.
