Raistlin Majere And The Fate In Time

Chapter 5

When Raistlin awoke from the darkness, his eyes were in a blur, only seeing a faint figure in the distance in front of him. When his eyes focused in on the figure he was shocked at the sight, he looked at the figure with short hair and broad shoulders. He then realized he was slumped against a wall in the place where he had accepted failure in the past. He saw in front of him, his older half-sister, Kitiara, she stood looking at him blankly. He tried to put aside his pain to say something but nothing came out of his mouth, she then looked upon him with anger, sheathing her sword and looking away. He had enough strength to speak in a voice that was barely audible, "K-Kitiara" he said faintly, "You betrayed our family" she replied speaking in his direction still turned away. "M-Magic is all I needed" he replied with through torn lips, "What about mom! and Caramon! He still loves you Raist!" she shouted, " He's your twin! He loves you with all that he's got!" she shouted louder this time. " You never cared though and everyone took pity on you!" she screamed louder. She wasn't lying to him either, everything was the bitter truth, he never really cared ever since his curse as a young mage. He only had feeling when he was a young adventurer having fun with his brother, across Krynn. He thought on until he saw Kitiara un-sheathing her sword and dragging it along the ground. Soon he saw her creating sparks while charging toward saying, "You will pay for treating our family this way!" then he rolled over making Kitiara's sword get stuck in the wall behind him, giving it a sharp tug she managed to get it free, swinging it in Raistlin's direction. She missed by an inch and was whirled into a wall by Raistlin, the impact taking a blow to both of them making Raistlin fall against the wall. Kitiara took a torch off the Wall and threw it at his feet trying to catch his black robes on fire. Kitiara retrieved her sword from where it fell and ran towards him with it, he quickly dashed over trying to remember a spell off the top of his head. He realized it was too late when Kitiara's sword point plunged into his shoulder, pinning him to the wall. He was ready to accept failure, once again he would fail just like he had failed the first time. Then Kitiara vanished without a trace, then Par-Salian appeared. "Raistlin Majere" he said to him," Once again I have fallen for your illusion, just this time with Kitiara" he replied,"I will accept my failure" he said as Par-Salian nodded and walked away. He then realized that he couldn't get home, from his shoulder having an impact, he wouldn't have enough strength. Then a portal appeared close to him, he saw a small figure, a Kender perhaps, Then Tas emerged and beckoned Raistlin toward him and Raistlin followed taking the sword out of his shoulder and walking towards Tas. As he stepped in the portal he thought, how did Tas, a Kender, get his hands on a time travelling device?
