I put the letter down and grabbed my things. I walked to my car and got in it. I wasn't sure where to go. I started the engine and drove to a gas station. I didn't have much money. I paid for some gas and got in my car. I went to the nearest motel and got a room for the night. Tomorrow I will look for a job. I walked up the steps of the motel and set my things down. I crawled into bed and went to sleep.

The morning crept upon me. I was dreading this day. I wish I could stay in bed all day. I sat up and stretched. As much as I pushed Niklaus's words away. They kept coming back. If Klaus didn't want me, who would? I'll be alone forever. I got out of bed and got dressed. I wore this, then i walked down to the motel manager telling them I'll be staying another night. I paid then left. I got in my car and drove around New Orleans. I stopped at a bar and seen a help wanted sign so I walked inside. I took a seat and waited for a bartender to come over. It was a guy, extremely attractive.

"Can I help you?" He asked.

"Yes, I saw the help wanted sign and was looking for a job." I said.

"Bartender?" He asked.

"Yeah. Is the manager here?" I asked.

"You're talking to him." He smiled.

"Hello Mr. Manager." I said extended my hand.

"I prefer Daniel." He smile shaking it.

"Leighanne." I said.

"Pretty." He smiled.

"Thanks." I said.

"So looking for a job?" He asked.

"Yes." I answered.

"Can you hold a bottle?" He asked.

"Uh I'm pretty sure." I laughed.

"Can you pour a drink?" He asked.

"I don't know, I never tried." I admitted.

"That's ok I'll teach you. You got the job, were shorthanded today anyways." He smiled.

"Really? Thank you." I smiled.

"No problem." He smiled.

Daniel handed me an apron and I started working. He taught me the basics. It wasn't that hard once you got the hang of it. My favorite part was I got tips. Which was good since I needed money to pay for the motel room. It was closing time and people were leaving. I looked at the time. 2 am. I took my apron off and put it away.

"So how was today?" Daniel asked.

"Fun and easy." I said washing my hands.

"Good. I'm glad you liked it." He said.

"So do I work tomorrow?" I asked.

"Actually. No you don't. But I'll get a schedule made up for you tonight." He said.

"Ok thanks." I smiled. I walked over to the door, opening it and went out to my car. I got in and put my seat belt on. I drove back to the motel. I opened my car door and grabbed my things.

"Hello Leighanne." A voice said. I quickly looked up and seen Elijah standing there, elegant as ever.

I cleared my throat. "Hi." I managed to choke out.

"How are we this fine evening?" He asked.

"Fine." I lied.

He sighed and then spoke. "Come for a walk with me." He started walking away, I ran over to him and slowed my pace.
