Chapter 22: Leaving

"What should we do with the bodies?" I asked, choking on my words.

"You're going to do nothing, I'm going to take care of it." Klaus said moving away from me.

"Don't!" I yelled.

"What's wrong?" Klaus asked.

"I just want you near me for right now, I have a bad feeling that if you go outside something is going to happen." I said.

"Nothing's going to happen love, I'm fine." Klaus said walking outside.

I went over to the couch and sat down, then I heard gunshots, and Klaus yell.

"Klaus!" I yelled running outside in the rain.

He was laying on the ground, with wooden bullets in his chest, they were laced with vervain. I tried to help pull them out.

"Get back inside." Klaus growled.

"I'm ok, remember you won't let anything happen to me." I said pulling a bullet out.

"Leighanne!" Jeremy yelled. He ran over and handed me the wrist stake.

"Thanks." I said. I knelt back down to help Klaus.

"Is that it" I asked.

"Yes." He breathed. He stood up and grabbed my hand. Klaus looked around to see who was here.

"Hello there." Someone said from behind.

Klaus turned around, pushing me behind him.

"Ahh, another member of the Jameson family I assume." Klaus said.

"You are correct, how's your lovely sister Rebekah?" He asked.

"Fine. Except for the part that you tried to kill her." Klaus said, with hatred.

"Yeah, she was getting annoying. Had to do something." Jameson said.

"I'd guess you're here for the same thing your father was here for." Klaus said.

"Yes, that pretty little lady behind you. Leighanne isn't it?" He asked.

"I'm not sure why you want her." Klaus said.

"Before I was a vampire, I had a family. A wife, children. Then my father turned me and my family into vampires. We went on a vacation to the city, and her father killed my wife and 3 children. So just like everyone else, i want her dead, but first we have to torture you, and of course let you try and escape." Jameson said.

"Not a great idea." Klaus said.

"Oh Klaus. You really should've stayed away from her. If you did you wouldn't be in this predicament." Jameson said.

"Maybe you shouldn't hold grudge and your father and brothers would still be alive." Klaus said.

"You think I'm intimidated by you?" Jameson said.

"No, but you should be. The wooden bullets don't make you look very brave." Klaus said speeding over to him and grabbing his heart.

"You feel that? I'm about to take all your feeling away." Klaus said ripping his heart out.

Damon pulled into the driveway. Stefan and Elena stepped out.

"I see the party's all here." Klaus said.

"What do you want?" Stefan asked.

"I need to bury all seven of these bodies." Klaus said.

"Who are these people?" Elena asked.
