Chapter 21: happy ?

*Big time jump alert*
Note: I skipped so far ahead because I think everyone can imagine the dark times and the next semester was full of those of coco just existing and grieving blaze and Laurent, working job.
8 1/2 month later
Coco pov:
The girls came and went it was good time or least i was good at faking it. My birthday was cool I guess 19 feels pathetic. Ive become good at that lately fake smiling, crying when alone or silently so no one can hear me. The spring semester was depressing all I did was work. At least i have a pretty nice car but I'm  back in Houston for the summer. To the same old same old at least now I  can escape. Most days are spent at Asia and Chauncey's if not at work. About 4 months ago
I saw Laurent has a new girlfriend and she's beautiful. I even saw him and blaze linked up apparently blaze went back to France for a family funeral. That girl that called blaze bae I guess he decided to give in. If you  haven't noticed I ended up broken and alone. Apart of me deserves it the other half feels like other people do fucked up shit to me and get away with it. I take full responsibility for Laurent and although it hurts I'm happy he's happy. After all that blaze put me through he gets a happy ending I'll never understand it. I heard he slowed down the drugs and is preparing Tony to take over. Which I'm happy for him I guess. It's just after giving me his worse he's giving her his best and it's fucked up
Oh yea and he almost killed me and dropped me like a bad habit. At this point I feel like I'm going through a humiliation ritual. The only reason I endure is because of Lau I feel shitty for that situation he really liked me. I guess hurt people hurt people but if I use that I have  to forgive blaze i guess you could call it a classic case of bitter. Is it possible to take accountability for the part you played but recognize there was a lot of shit you didn't deserve and can be mad about it even though you aren't completely innocent ?
Incoming call Drayton(dre) 🖤
Coco: hey dre
Dre: hey sis you good
Coco: sure
Dre: I wanted you to come to cali it's important oh and Tyler invited blaze I'm sorry they have became close you know with him going to make Tyler second in command
Coco: I understand
Dre: promise you will come
Coco: sure
Dre: see you on Saturday
Coco pov
I wonder what the news is I know Dre fell in love with a girl shortly after or a little before the blow out. They been going strong for almost a whole year I'm a happy for him. Ryan and Brett still going steady. Megan got her a boo and even mani player ass got her a boo. I'm happy for them I really  am. Seeing blaze after all this time is going to have me spiraling. I hate how close he's got to my friends. Which is also my fault I was never completely honest with them all the things that he's done because I thought maybe we could overcome it. I didn't want them to Judge him and I needed to convince myself that he was capable of love when in reality, I was just looking for an escape. I like to think  my love for blaze was real but not healthy. That's why with Laurent it felt more natural and it was no trauma attached I didn't have to beg to be seen or valued. Which isn't blaze job but it's hurts the same. I hope I don't break
Friday morning
I packed my bags and put them in the car. I text the group chat letting them now I'm heading to Cali as a solo trip. Technically I could've flew but I need the time by myself and I'll get a cheap hotel to rest at once I get halfway.  After hours of getting food, gas and finding a cheap hotel
Saturday morning
Coco heads back on the road and at 1:00 pm she sees a bunch of cars in front of Tyler's house. She is confused but still curious on what's happening. When she enters the house she sees a bunch of people she doesn't know then she sees Tyler.
Tyler: aye coco you came
*Tyler hugs her tight as she sighs in his embrace*
Tyler: you good
Coco: yea
She looks up and see no other than that girl Mercedes talking to someone which much mean blaze isn't to far and he walks up to Mercedes handing her a drink. She sighs and try's to find a corner to hide in
5 mins later
Duke and Keisha come down the stairs
Duke monologue :
hey everybody I wanna thank y'all for coming this mean a lot to me. Meeting Keisha has been the best thing that very happened to be I never thought I could fall so fast like this my real life dawg for life. Our relationship is going to the next level because

Keisha: *shows her stomach* IM PREGNANT
Whole room: *screams* congratulations

Coco doesn't have time process when her name is called by Dre. She moves foward against the wall and slowly walks up with all eyes on her.

Keisha: you have been nothing but kind towards me all this time and I appreciate it. The love you have for Dre makes me happy your in his corner. Which is why he wanted to do something
Dre: so spoilers everybody we're having a little girl. Wow that's crazy saying that anyway you know me and you then been through hell and back. You save me I save you. Nobody knows what we endure but we confide in each other and we family not friends since middle school when your bad ass swung on a 8th grade boy who called you ugly
The room begins to chuckle and make small conversation
Dre: I know sometimes you feel alone or the world is on your shoulder. I just wanna let you know I love you and appreciate you and the reason I asked you come from Houston is because I'm came up with a name  Yasmine  Michaela Dennis. Michaela because it's your middle name and I wanted to know if your would be Yasmine's godmom
Coco: your serious
Dre: dead ass
Coco: yes of course
The room cheers as everyone begins to party. Coco watches in a room full of people feeling alone. She sees Mercedes get in a car and leave and blaze come back in the house. Everyone starts trickling out and Dre walks Keisha to her car which just leaves me, blaze, and Tyler. Tyler aware of the dynamic ask me if I'm good or need something
Coco: can I chill in your room for a moment
Tyler: girl you know my house is your house
Coco: thanks
She heads up stairs burying herself in Ty pillows. She noticed  something. Blaze doesn't have an Afro anymore there twist now. Coco went through some wardrobe changes her self . She hears a creek in the stairs assuming it's Tyler but she's met with a blaze.
Blaze: Courtney
Coco slowly turns around and takes in his appearance
Coco: *whispers* hi
Blaze comes in the room and shuts the door causing coco to sit up. He sits next to coco on the bed as she stares at the ground her eyes almost immediately filling with tears.
Blaze: why you back
Coco: I think it's self explanatory
Blaze: hmm
Coco: yea
Blaze: you back  in Houston 
Coco: why are you asking me this blaze
Blaze: you talk to Lau still
She was about to talk about their conversation but then remembered he said he would kill her
Coco: no
Blaze : mmmh
Coco: I see you and that girl are close
Blaze: we are what we are
Coco: yea
Blaze: you got special someone
Coco: nope just me,myself , and I
Blaze: you 19
Coco: yes
Blaze: it a blessing after all the shit you do to make it to 19 huh
Coco: fuck you blaze
Blaze: this is a unexpected reunion
Coco: Dre my best friend and he's having a kid why wouldn't I be here
Blaze: cause I here
Coco: you don't run shit
Blaze: I don't it felt like I did in that dorm room when you was about get you ass shot
Coco: yea and making me suck you off against my will
Blaze: No start that bullshit
Coco: *tears in eyes looks at blaze* that was fucked up blaze
He wipes his finger against coco face wiping the tears falling.He's about to speak when his phone rings
Blaze: I have to go
Coco: * release breath* why does your presence still make me so emotional
He gives her the cold shoulder  and ignore her question walking out shutting the door and she can hear him down stairs saying bye to Tyler and coco buries her head in the pillow sobbing quietly wondering when this will end
