Ch. 4

"So (Y/n) was dating Semi? Who would've thought?"

Sugawara nodded in agreement with Daichi. When (Y/n) had told her that Semi was her ex boyfriend it sort of surprised him. From the outside he didn't seem to be the kind of person hurt someone like he did with (Y/n) but then again he didn't know Semi personally.

"I know right, I thought it was strange because didn't she go to Karasuno?" Sugawara questioned.

Daichi nodded, "Yeah she did, I remember seeing her around the halls every now and then. She was always hanging out with three other girls, they were pretty cute." Daichi said smiling.

Sugawara chuckled, "Yeah well I didn't really see her around, maybe that's why she didn't recognize me." he said.

"Yeah well I hear the members of Shiratorizawa didn't really like her, you know since she went to Karasuno and all on top of that they had been together for a long time so maybe Semi might've thought it was time to move on?" Daichi said.

Sugawara frowned, "Yeah but abandoning a relationship because you got bored is probably not the best way to deal with it."

Daichi shrugged and nodded towards the door, "Oh well what can you do, now why don't you take care of your last costumer before you clock out, yeah?" he said patting him on the back.

Sugawara looked up and saw (Y/n), who was smiling happily back at him, "(Y/n)," he said blushing slightly, "you're off early from your shift."

"Well actually I'm normally off at five but since my parents aren't currently working sometimes I'll stay later than usual, like yesterday." she said as she took out her card.

Sugawara smiled, "Ah, I see well what can I get for you for today? Some strawberry cheesecake?" he suggested smiling.

She giggled, "Yes please and some lavender tea to go along with that."

He smiled and nodded, "Alright, that will be on the house and we'll bring your order right out, okay?"

"On the house?" (Y/n) worriedly, "Are you sure?"

Again, Sugawara nodded, "Of course."

(Y/n) nodded timidly and blushed, quickly she scrambled away to the same booth as before. Sugawara quickly clocked out of his shifted and said his goodbyes to his fellow coworkers and made his way to the booth that (Y/n) sat at.

"Sugawara! Is your shift over already?" (Y/n) said surprised that he was already out.

"Yup, do you mind if I sit here with you?" he said pointing at the seat.

She giggled slightly, "Be my guest." she said signaling with her hand for him to sit down.

Sugawara sat across her and crossed his arms, placing on them on the counter. He laid his head on her counter and let out a small sigh, "I still can't believe you dated Semi, (Y/n). I never thought he'd be that kind of person." Sugawara said looking up at her.

(Y/n) turned away frowning slightly, "Yeah, well I can't believe it either..." she mumbled.

Sugawara frowned and sat up straight but leaned in slightly as to not tense, "Oh- well you know I also can't believe you went to Karasuno! I mean I never saw you walking around or anything, I only ever saw you at Shirtorizawa, when they were playing." Sugawara trying to cheer her up.

She smiled slightly, "Well of course I went to Karasuno, Shiratorizawa was simply to far and I'm not very good with math or science. They also weren't so artsy, if you know what I mean." she said slightly embarrassed.

He chuckled, "Yeah I know what you mean, and that's lame, that they don't have any art programs. I'm sure you would've been the top student if they had some sort of ceramic class."
