Oliver's POV
"Ella," I stated. "That was a pretty quick trip."
"In and out," Ella nodded. "That's all I needed."
"Uhm, what's with the suitcase?" I asked.
"Oh, yeah, I, uh, I broke up with Jay," Ella stated. "He's not someone I wanna spend the rest of my life with."
"Something else happened," I pointed. "What happened when you were in Chicago?"
"I hate that you know me," Ella replied. She took a deep breath before continuing. "I walked in on Jay cuddling with a woman that wasn't me." She looked at me. "I think it's been going on for quite awhile too. Probably since I've been on tour with Matt."
"You can easily figure that out by reading his mind."
"I never use my powers to invade people's privacy, even if we're in a relationship. I only use it while we're out there saving the world, but only while I'm in my gear as Clairvoyant."
"I respect that," I nodded. Michael walked in. "Hey, Michael."
"Oh, uhm, I can come back," Michael pointed at us.
"You're not interrupting anything," I smiled. "Uhm, Ella was just telling me that she broke up with Jay."
"Really?" Michael asked.
"Yeah, uhm, turns out you were actually right about him," Ella nodded. "You tried to warn me. He's a whole lot older than I am and he's got different needs."
"I'm going to leave you two alone," I looked at them. "You seem like you can use the space and I'm not needed."
Michael's POV
"Thanks?" I questioned as Oliver left. "Ella, I didn't like the way we left things."
"I don't either," Ella replied. We sat down on the couch. "I really don't wanna go through life without you."
"You mean that?" I asked
"Yeah," Ella nodded. "I'm not going to let another guy come in between us again."
"Even if you did, you'd choose me," I looked at her. She sent me a smile. "You would choose me, right?"
"Yeah," Ella replied. "I just like making you second guess yourself."
"I'm glad we're going to be able to move past this," I nodded. A month and a hale passed by. Ella and I have been spending a lor of hime together. I walked into her venthouse and Oliver was there. "Oh, are you here to see Ella?"
"She's just grabbing me my suit," Oliver
replied."Alright, Ollie," Ella walked down the stairs. She handed him his hoodie. "Good as new. Just try to be careful."
"No promises," Oliver nodded. He gave her a kiss on the forehead. "Watch Tower tonight at 9. Don't forget."
"On Valentine's?" I asked.
"Crimmals don't take vacations," Oliver shrugged.
"Bye, Ollie," Ella pushed him into the elevator she closed the door. "Sorry about that."
"The works of being a hero," I stated. "Uhm, are you ready to go?"
"Yeah," Ella sighed. "Uhm, you never really stated where we were eating."
"You look great," I replied. "You'll fit right in."
"Okay," Ella smiled. We went for dinner before walking the streets of Metropolis. "Even though I don't have a Valentine this year, I'm glad to be with my best friend."
