HOGWARTS AND THE DARK SECRETS

CH-8 ESCAPING FROM AZKABAN PRISON

On September 1, 1990.

Today, everyone is going to Hogwarts. The Hogwarts Express has departed, and all the students are seated inside. Bellatrix said to Xenophilius Adamos, "Oliver? Oliver isn't coming?"

Xenophilius Adamos calmly replied, "He will be arriving with his house elf and will make his way to Hogsmeade. From there, he will catch the Hogwarts Express."

Bellatrix's face showed a look of understanding, and after that, she said, "Yes, Oliver Lestrange is the last heir of the Lestrange family, and that family is very wealthy."

While they were discussing these things, an owl flew in through the window and dropped a copy of The Daily Prophet on Bellatrix's shoulder before flying away.

Bellatrix said, "The Daily Prophet."

Xenophilius Adamos said, "Quickly read the headline, what does it say?"

Bellatrix began reading, "An escaped convict from Azkaban has fled. He is the last surviving member of the Travers family. His name is Cygnus Travers. He is accused of the murder of five wizards and six witches. The Ministry of Magic advises you to be cautious of your family's safety and inform the Ministry if you spot Cygnus anywhere. There will be tight security at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry because Cygnus was a close friend of the Lestrange family, and many wizards and witches believe that he will try to get to Oliver Lestrange, who is currently in his 2nd year at Hogwarts."

Bellatrix and Xenophilius Adamos both had a pale expression on their faces. They didn't care about what was happening around them.

Bellatrix, trembling, said, "Lestrange family and Cygnus is his friend?"

Xenophilius Adamos replied, "Who knows? We'll ask Oliver."

At that moment, an owl flew in through the window, carrying a letter, and dropped it on Bellatrix's shoulder before flying away. The letter was black in color, and on it was written Bellatrix's name.

Bellatrix thought about reading the letter and started to read it.

"I am Cygnus Travers. You are Oliver's friend. Remember this well, no magic or spell from Hogwarts can stop me. Oliver and I will bring back the Dark Lord. After that, we will eliminate traitors like you. Our rule will be over the entire world. Remember, no troublesome and blood traitor will be spared."

After reading, the letter burned completely and turned to ashes.

Bellatrix and Xenophilius Adamos didn't say anything for 2 minutes. Bellatrix, crying, said, "No one will believe us because the letter has turned to ashes after I read it. I think the letter was enchanted to burn after someone reads it."

Xenophilius said, "Yes, Bellatrix, I think this is an empty threat. I don't understand who this Dark Lord is and what his name is in connection with Oliver. And what is the secret of the Lestrange family?"

The Hogwarts Express had reached its destination. Everyone got off the train at the Hogwarts station and boarded the carriages. They reached Hogwarts and sat in the Great Hall. Oliver came and sat beside them, and they told him everything.

The Sorting Hat had already begun the ceremony, and Oliver said at that time, "To be honest, I don't know any secret of my family, and I know nothing about this Dark Lord either. I trust both of you completely."

At that moment, Principal Victoria, whose face was as long as a horse and who was very thin, began to give her speech.

Principal Victoria said, "You all must be aware that there is a dreadful prisoner from Azkaban named Cygnus. He is a vile murderer. Hogwarts will be protected with many spells and enchantments. It is advised for Oliver Lestrange to follow the rules and remain vigilant. You may now begin your meal."

Afterward, all the professors and Principal Victoria went outside to the grounds. The professors raised their wands towards the sky and started chanting, "Protective enchantment," "Protego totalum," "Protego Maxima." A bright white light emanated from everyone's wand, and that light provided complete protection to Hogwarts. No outsider could break this enchantment; only the one who cast it could undo it by using the detection spell.

Bellatrix said, "Should we inform the principal about this letter?"

Oliver replied, "I don't think anyone will believe us because we are just kids, and people often disregard our opinions. I don't know why they think like that. But whatever it may be, Professor Andromeda doesn't think the same way. She believes that I am very clever."

Oliver said, "Phoenix won't come."

Bellatrix replied, "Oliver, she sent me a letter saying that she won't come this year."

"Can she really do that?" Oliver said.

After that, everyone went to their rooms or their respective house common rooms.

Everyone got engrossed in deep conversations. Oliver went to his room and sat on his bed. He remembered that the previous year, Professor Narcissus had given him a letter, and he had forgotten to read it. It was such a big mistake that nobody could make, Oliver thought. He took out the letter and started reading.

"Dear Oliver, I am Professor Narcissus.

Your wand is the Dragon Heart Wand.

Oliver had never read such a short letter in his life, and he felt it might not be so important. He placed the letter beside the table and went to sleep.
