Chapter 12. Train Robbery

Y/N heads back to Dewberry Creek.
Once arriving she spots Sean practicing his shooting skills.
"Shit." Looking frustrated Sean aims his hun once again.
Y/N jumps down from Nero, she walks behind Sean.
Bang!
Sean's misses once again.
"Nice aim". Y/N says in a teasing tone.
"Oh shut up, I know my aim is better than some girl." Sean turns to Y/N in a mocking tone.
Y/N fires her gun and hits a tin can.
"You where saying."
"Lucky shot, aim for the bottle placed on the ruin further-"
Before Sean could finish his sentence, Y/N fired her gun making the glass bottle shatter.
Raising her eye brow at Sean, he chuckled and went.
"Fine, fine maybe I can see why Morgan wants you on this job."
Y/N went to sit down by a tree and continued to watch Sean practise.

Arthur arrives not long after.

Once Arthur jumps down from Luna, he nods to Y/N.
Y/N motions to Sean with a smirk, in a way telling Arthur he's been at this for a while.
Arthur made his way to Sean with a smirk.
"Well at least it ain't your Job."
"Oh shut up Arthur."
"Your job is starting the fights, it ain't winning them."
Y/N interjects and says. "Yeah I learnt that earlier."
"What did you say to her?" Arthur turning to Sean again in anger.
"Nothing besides, Y/N can handle herself she proved that, also I can scrap Arthur, I just ain't good at home work."
"I can see that."
"Besides, what do you care, Englishman you've got no time for me... I tried to find ya work but, then you're odd cutting jobs with other folks and your boy Sean doesn't get a look in."
" guess I don't wanna get shot that's all."
"Ah your a real fucking funny shit Arthur Morgan.real funny."
"Calm down."
" you better sleep with your eyes open."
"Yeah well you're gonna sleep with your chest open, if you ain't careful boy."
"Haha I love ya, Arthur Morgan I love ya. Come on take a shot, take ya best shot."
Arthur swiftly takes a shot at a glass bottle and it breaks instantly.
"Grow up."
"Let me come on the raid with ya."
"Raid?"
"Don't be playing coy with me, son. It's unbecoming, that bloody train you and him and Y/N got set up."
"Ohh that."
"If Marston told you it's not a big show, I need calmness if I take you I might as well take Micah along."
"Don't compare me to that oily turd again your a dead man."
"Heh fair enough."
While the men were still talking, Y/N drew the ruin and the wagon in her journal finishing up some details.
Arthur came and sat next to her says to Sean.
"I'm gonna get some rest before night fall."
Placing his hat over his head and falling asleep.

When Arthur woke up it was nightfall. He looks to see Y/N leaning on him in her sleep. Nudging her arm to wake her up.
"Come on little miss wake up, it's go time."
While slowly waking up, Arthur then threw a stone a Sean.
"Wake up you lazy sod."
Arthur got up and helped Y/N as they heard John and Charles approach.
"What are you doing here kid?"
"I'm coming, John on the job."
" i said you weren't coming."
"Yeah well Y/N and Arthur says that I am and really it's their take." Sean climbs onto the wagon and sits at the front.
"Me and the big cheeses love it, can't wait to slit some bastards throat."
"You sure about this?"
"No, also hang on a second." Arthur says taking his attention back to Sean.
"Sean, you didn't ask Y/N if she wanted to sit up front?"
"Don't worry Arthur, I don't mind standing on the side."
"You sure ?"
"Yeah course, it'll be fun."
"I'll stand behind her just incase." Charles says, to reassure Arthur.
"Okay, are we all ready?"
"Yeah the train is due through tonight." John states.
"Alright, it's on then Lady and gentlemen, let's go earn some money."
Once sat on the front, Arthur flicks Sean's hat.
"Oi why did-"
"Next time you let the lady sit up front, learn some manners." Arthur takes the reins and they set off.

Once pulling up to the tracks, John, Charles and Y/ N jumps down from the side. Arthur climbs off the front seat and so does Sean.
"Mr Marston, Mr smith, Mr Macguire and Miss L/N. Get over there. When she slows board her."
"And you?" Questions Sean.
"I'm gonna make sure she slows." Arthur says looking down knowing the train is on the way.
"Be careful Arthur." Y/N says heading to the trees with John and Charles.
"It's do or die with you, I like it."
"Get moving."
Arthur climbs on the oil wagon and placed his bandana over his face.
With the others hiding in the trees, the train makes an appearance.
Once the train comes to a complete stop, Arthur stares down the conductor not saying a word knowing Charles is on his way the conductor yells out.
"what's going on?"
To which Charles hits him over the head and says "nothing good."
Arthur jumps down from the wagon and boards the train.
Y/N is in front of him and is about to head up and rob some folks with John.
Arthur grabs her arm and says "you head to the baggage cart with Sean, I don't trust him to handle it on his own, I'll meet you there when I'm done here."
"Okay but, be careful Arthur." Y/N says placing her hand on his chest."
"You too little Miss."
Y/N moves past John and heads to the baggage cart.
Y/N sees Sean and says.
"Come on Mr. M we're heading to the baggage cart."
"Right on."
Y/N let's Sean lead and they find the baggage cart.
Once Sean opens the door. He gets hit in the head by a man.
Y/N quickly shoots down the man.
Arthur hearing gun shots in the distance he says to John.
"I'm gonna see what that was."
Running out he sees Y/N shooting down men in the baggage cart.
On top of the wagon a man tries to Jump Y/N. Arthur spots this and shoots him dead.
"You both alright?"
"Yeah fine, we'll not too sure about Sean think he's seeing double."
"This time I'll check the baggage cart, little miss watch him and keep an eye out for anyone coming."
"Okay."
Arthur heads into the baggage cart.
Collecting items along the way.
Y/N made sure that Sean was okay by checking his head.
"Aghhh I'm seeing double here."
"You'll be fine but, you do have a bump on your head though." said Y/N.
"These folks are rich alright."
Y/N heard horses approaching, looking out into the tree line, Sean speaks.
"We should be going now."
"Arthur you best get out here, two men on horses." Says Y/N
"How many you say?"
"I only see two for now."
"Well then we are fighting our way outta here, Marston, Smith get ready!"
The lawman was next to speak, while everyone ducked for cover behind the crates.
"You men come off the train now, do you hear?"
"Rude, do I look like a man." Y/N said.
"We said you men come out now!"
Arthur speaks next saying.
"There's only two of you, you fools we got a whole lot less to lose, god damn liberties."
"Arthur there's more coming from the tree line."
"Me and my big mouth, okay let's deal with them."
Soon after bullets began flying in every direction.
lawman came in every direction.
"More on the left." Says Sean.
"We need to get rid of then quick to make a run for it." Shouts Charles.
Arthur and Y/N took the back while John, Charles and Sean handled the lawmen coming upfront.
"Okay fellas we gotta go now, or we'll be stuck here."
Everyone whistled for their horses and took off away from the law.
After some time the gang knew the law was no longer following and started to slow down.
"Woahh that was fun, real fun I can see why they call you professionals of the outfit."
"Did we lose them?" Says Arthur.
"I think so, I don't see any of them." Y/N says double checking behind them.
Arthur throws money to everyone, one at a time.
"At least we Made some money, and what did I get."
Before Sean could finish his sentence Y/N interjected and said.
"A bump on the head." With everyone laughing Sean ignored her comment and said.
"Gotta be a hundred dollars here very nice."
"And you weren't even invited but, we still need a real big take enough for us to get out of here."
"Was that a set up, law turned up real fast."John says in a worried tone.
"I don't know, I don't think so but, I'm starting to get nervous."
"Think they followed us from black water." Charles questions.
"Maybe, they almost found me near horseshoe but, I think this law was just locals."
"I'm gonna head into valentine, see if I can get something started there."
"Good idea, I'm gonna head up to strawberry and see Micah, bring that fool back to camp, either way we should all go in alone right now. You know the deal don't be followed."
"Course not boss." With that everyone disperses apart from Y/N.
Y/N smiles and says.
"I'll head out now too but, be careful heading to strawberry. I'll see you when you return."
Arthur nods and both Y/N and Arthur leave in opposite directions.
