Beherenewian Command Center
Soldier:Your Excellency, we have good news
Count Bellwish:Good news? Speaks
Soldier:The kingdom of Theraklion has decided to send us three of its best officers to help us against the Galamians
Count Bellwish: Ah, splendid news! The aid from Theraklion is most welcome. Their officers are renowned for their skill and prowess in battle. With their assistance, the defeat of the Galamians and their allies is assured. The Vilgan hinterland will remain under our control, and our dominance will be unchallenged.
Soldier: Indeed, Your Excellency. The Theraklion officers will be arriving soon, and I'll ensure they are briefed on the current situation.
Count Bellwish: Excellent. Make sure they understand the importance of their mission. Our enemies are cunning and tenacious, but with Theraklion's finest by our side, we shall prevail.
Soldier: I will relay your orders to them, Your Excellency.
Count Bellwish: In the meantime, keep a close eye on any potential threats within our own ranks. The Galamians are not to be underestimated, and they may attempt to sway the hearts of our people. I want to know of any signs of disloyalty or rebellion.
Soldier: Understood, Your Excellency. We will be vigilant and take swift action against any traitors.
Count Bellwish: Very well. The fate of Aurorium and our rule over the Vilgan hinterland depend on our success. We cannot afford to fail. Now go, and make sure everything is prepared for the arrival of the Theraklion officers, when should they arrive?
Soldier:Three days, sir
Count Bellwish:*surprised*Three days?We don't have that much time, Galamians and Vilgans move fast, in two weeks we lost three battles, two captains, one garrison, one quarry and one watchtower
Soldier: I understand the urgency, Your Excellency. The Galamians have proven to be a formidable force, and their victories have emboldened them. But we have reinforcements coming from Theraklion, and with their officers' assistance, we should be able to turn the tide in our favor.
Count Bellwish: *Nods* You're right. We must utilize these three days wisely. Prepare our troops, bolster the defenses, and ensure that the Theraklion officers are briefed on the current situation as soon as they arrive.
Soldier: Yes, sir. I will see to it immediately.
Count Bellwish: In addition, send word to the outlying garrisons and watchtowers to be on high alert. We must be prepared for any surprise attacks from the Galamians and their allies.
Soldier: Consider it done, Your Excellency. We'll increase patrols and fortify our positions.
Count Bellwish: Good. We cannot afford to be caught off guard again. This is a crucial moment for Beherenew, and we must show our strength and determination.
As the soldier hurried off to carry out Count Bellwish's orders, the Count remained in deep thought. The situation in the Vilgan hinterland was becoming increasingly precarious, and the Galamians' resistance was proving to be more challenging than anticipated. With the arrival of the Theraklion officers, the battle for Aurorium would intensify, and the fate of the entire region hung in the balance. Count Bellwish knew that he had to strategize carefully and rally his forces to ensure victory over the Galamians and their allies. The coming days would be a test of his leadership and the strength of Beherenew's rule.
City of Aurorium
Gray, Yuki, Remy and Jollín were enjoying a good aperitif.
The ambiance in the inn was warm and inviting, a stark contrast to the challenges they faced outside.
