Aurora didn't usually wake up this early, but today was greenie day. She needed to make sure order was still in place despite the chaos that is usually caused with a new arrival.

She starts with her usual routine, a cold shower. Not a cold shower that gets your blood pumping and makes you feel ready for the day. This cold shower makes you feel like you will freeze to death, along with the hard water that feels like tiny punches along your back. Though it smells like a lot of the boys in the Glade don't shower.

She's still grateful that they have some running water in the glade, she wouldn't want to be walking around the Glade in the humid environment, let alone running. She believes she has asthma, often she uses that as an excuse on why she shouldn't be a full-time runner.

She's done showering and changes into a simple tank and some long bottoms. The simple routine always makes her realise how hungry she is.

Aurora wanders over to Frypan's kitchen, she hopes that the runners don't beat her to it. The suns beginning to rise which is a nice view for her walk over. When she arrives she is met with the faces of Kenneth and Minho. Kenny is her one of her best friends, he was the boy who came up after Newt. Minho is a story for another time.

"Heeey, Rora'" Kenneth smiles while eating some toast. She smiles back. "Good morning Kenny." She gives him a pat on the cheek while walking past. She grabs some water and sips on it while making eye contact with Minho. "She-Shank." He greets.

"Speedy." She greets him back, then she drinks the rest of her water. She then walks towards the door. "When was the last time you showered?" She questioned. Minho turned around and answered with no hesitation. "Why? You wanna shower with me, Aurora?" He smirks.

"No Minho, I'm saying you smell like Klunk." She replies. Kenneth awkwardly stands there in the middle of their bickering. She says bye to Kenny before leaving the kitchen. "Well you look like Klunk!" Minho shouts before she leaves the door.

Aurora rolls her eyes and Kenny furrowed his brows. "What? She started it!" Minho mutters and rolls his eyes. "Real mature Minho..." Kenneth laughs. "Where's my toast? Did you eat it? Was your slice not enough? You greedy slinthead!" Minho hissed.

Aurora bit her lip smirking while snacking on the toast she swiped from Minho's plate. Her mood perked up now shes not hungry. Shes heading towards the watch tower, she has some time to spare. The Glade becomes active usually in around 40 minutes. She climbs up the hefty ladder and sits up at the top, her legs dangling. Her eyes feel droopy as she rests her chin against the railing.

Aurora's eyelids fluttered open, the midday sun casting a warm glow across the Glade. She stretched her limbs and yawned, a sense of tranquility washing over her as she enjoyed the brief respite from her responsibilities. However, her moment of serenity was abruptly shattered by the blaring alarm that pierced the air, jolting her from her half-sleeping state. With a surge of adrenaline, she shot up from her resting spot, her heart pounding in rhythm with the urgency of the situation. Aurora swiftly descends the ladder and races toward the Box. The chaotic symphony of pounding footsteps and alarmed shouts reached her ears as Gladers swarmed toward the Box.

She hears an abundance of gasps from around the box as the boys look down. She pushes through the crowd, apologising to some of the boys. When Aurora finally gets to the front of the crowd she looks down into the box and sees a boy probably around eight years old. His brown eyes are red from crying. Alby shouts at everyone to go back to work, everyone apart from Newt, and Aurora leaves.
