Aurora sits in the bathroom, quiet. Kenny is using water and a flannel to clean her face from Newt's blood. Her facial expression as blank as her thoughts, she just feels a bit empty.

Her eyes still watery, but she no longer has any energy to cry. They heard the news half an hour ago that Newt was stable, but still unconscious. He is possibly in a coma.

"It will be okay, Aurora." Kenneth reassures her. She knows he is trying to make it better, but she has heard that enough to day.

Why didn't she notice it was bad again? Why didn't she help him?

Guilt is eating away at her, she needs to see him. Its been a good ten hours since it happened, everyone in the Glade has heard about Newt being injured but only a few knows what actually happened, and they are not allowed to say anything.

Kenneth and Minho have already gone to see Newt, but Aurora cannot bring herself to. She needs to see him, to see him like this. She's haunted by the realisation that this is her fault.

"Im going to see him." She stands. This is the most she has said for the past hours. Her communication became purely nods and shakes, and one word sentences.

Kenneth nods. "Would you like me to come with you?" He offers, she declines. "I think I need to see him alone." She wipes under her eyes. She walks over to the Medhut, hands in her pockets. She slowly opens the door and walks over to where Newt is staying.

Clint is cleaning some wounds on Newt's face, He looks up and sees Aurora standing at the door. Clint gives Aurora a sympathetic smile before stepping aside to give her some space. Aurora takes a deep breath, summoning every ounce of courage she has left, and steps closer to Newt's bedside.

She feels her heart sink as she takes in his pale complexion and the various bandages covering his wounds. The guilt weighs heavy on her chest, and tears start to spill from her eyes once again.

Aurora reaches out tentatively, her hand hovering over Newt's before gently clasping it in hers. She squeezes his hand gently, hoping to convey the apology and remorse that she can't put into words.

"I'm so sorry, Newt," she whispers, her voice barely audible. "I'm so sorry."

She trails off, her throat tightening with emotion. Aurora leans forward, pressing a soft kiss to Newt's forehead before pulling away slightly, her eyes never leaving his face.

"I'll be here when you wake up," she promises, her voice cracking now. "I won't leave your side, ever." After every word she begins to sob even louder, not being able to control it anymore she completely starts to break down. Her whole body shakes whilst she cries, her legs give away as she collapses to the ground. Clint sees this and rushes to find Aurora violently crying and shaking. He rushes to get Alby.

A few moments later Alby bursts in, he falls to the floor next to Aurora and pulls her in close. He smooths her hair while she weeps.

As Alby holds Aurora, he whispers soothing words of comfort, his voice barely heard over her sobs.

Clint stands nearby, his expression filled with concern and empathy as he watches her cry. He knows there's little he can do to ease Aurora's pain. But perhaps if he eases Newt's pain, it will help her.

Alby continues to hold Aurora, his presence a steady help for Aurora. He remains by her side until her sobs begin to quieten, her wails gradually softening into silent tears.

"It's okay, Aurora," Alby murmurs, his voice tender and reassuring. "It's okay." He repeats over and over.
