The floor wasn't the comfiest, but wasn't much different to how everyone normally slept. Everyone wasn't asleep yet, they were trying too. Newt had offered to sleep on the floor, but Aurora insisted that she would be fine.

"Can I borrow a pillow please? My neck is sore." She sighs, hoping that someone would give her one. Minho groans and she can hear some movement from his side. Would this be the beginning of a tolerable, decent human being Minho?

Minho raises his pillow, Aurora thinks on how proud she is of Minho. Before she can congratulate him on his journey to becoming a better person. He hits her in the face with the pillow, it makes an unignorable thump sound. This wakes both Newt and Kenny straight up.

Kenny rubs his eyes and yawns. "Did I roll out of my hammock again?" He whispers, confused.

No one answers him. Aurora's too angry, her nose hurts from the impact. Newt is too intrigued and Minho is too busy laughing to himself. Newt was about to ask what happened, but Aurora had other plans.

She sat up and was now on her knees. She grabbed a hold of Minho's pillows and dragged them off his hammock so fast he hit his head. This also made an unignorable thump sound. Aurora let out a squeal and dropped down on her back pretending to be asleep, using his two pillows. She doesn't regret doing that shes just a bit scared of whats he's going to do.

"Aurora! You bitch!" He tries to reach over to her to grab the pillows but he just tips his hammock. Causing him to fall, straight onto Aurora. She lets out a groan of pain. Somehow Kenneth and Newt are just lying there watching.

"Minho get your fatass off of me! You're too shucking heavy!" She shouts.

"Its all muscle, sweetheart. I guess you wouldn't know what that is, you're almost as puny as Kenneth." Minho utters, a quiet "Hey!" coming from Kenny's direction.

Aurora furrows her brows, then knees Minho directly in the stomach. He rolls off of her in pain. "Ouch, that hurt my puny leg." She cries sarcastically.

"Well-" Minho tries to retaliate but Newt just tells them to shut up and go to sleep. "Whatever Aurora. We'll continue this when i'm not as tired." He grabs his pillows then goes back to his hammock.

After a few minutes of laying there, all you could hear was Minho's snores. Aurora decides that's why she cant fall asleep. Though, it may have something to do with the fact her mind is racing a thousand miles per hour.

Her trail of thought was interrupted by Kenny whispering. "Rora?" He softly spoke.

"Yeah? You okay?" She whispered back.

"Are you awake?" He questioned confidently.

Aurora paused for a second. "Yeah, I am." She stifles a laugh.

"Would you say it's been a shitty day?" He asks, sitting up.

"Yeah, I guess it has been." She sighs, hoping he's implying what she thinks he is.

Before they knew it they were laughing and climbing up the watchtower. They sat on the edge with their arms resting on the barrier, letting their legs dangle off the edge. Kenny passes the lit joint to Aurora.

"Ever wonder whats outside the maze?" She asks Kenneth. The joint sits in her mouth, she covers it and lights it. Inhales, then starts coughing.

Kenny laughs at her then takes it. "I dunno." He blankly states, Aurora raises a brow.

"I dunno? So you've been here for what? Nearly 2 years and never thought about it? Not once been curious?" She challenges.

Kenny just shrugs. "Honestly, I don't think there is anything left for us out there."

Aurora gulps. "Really?" Her voice cracks. She shouldn't be affected by his answer. She wanted to know, right? She wish she didn't ask, or at least didn't push it.

"Yeah, we must be here for a reason right? Like, maybe the world has ended? Or maybe it just isn't safe anymore."She nods, sort of agreeing with him.

"What bout' family?" She asks, knowing she will probably regret bringing that up.

"Probably gone." Hearing this negative answer from Kenny was so strange, he was usually the optimistic one.

Everyone in the glade was loosing hope, but not Aurora. She believes that she has something out there...someone out there.

"We have family here, Kenny. When we get out of here, I'll make sure we all have a good life. Far away from whoever put us here." She promises him, taking a deep breath in.

He stares and nods at her, telling her that he believes her. But the look in Kenny's eyes show that he doesn't truly believe her.

A comfortable silence falls apon them, not an ounce of awkwardness. They stare at the sky.

Kenneth begins to awkwardly shuffle, like he's going to say something.

"I like boys." He admits, but he doesn't break eye contact with the sky.

She turns her head to face him. "I know Kenneth, I know." She smiles.

He turns his head to face her, blinks a couple times. "How?" He laughs.

"I've seen the way you look at Gally." She smirks.

"What?" He laughs. "The same way you look at Newt?"

Aurora let's out a gasp, louder than she expected. "Newt is my friend. Nothing more, nothing less." She assures.

"I'll find a boyfriend when you get us out of here." He softly spoke.

"And that I will Kenneth." She grinned. She raises her pinky at him. "Promise." They link pinkies, Aurora giggles. It may be juvenile but it brought them comfort, something that everyone seriously lacked.

She kisses his hand and leans her head on his shoulder for a few seconds. "Oh how I love you Kenneth." She sighs.

She hops up, and reaches for Kenny's hand. She drags him down and they walk back to the hut, giggling and laughing.

She shushes him as she slowly opens up the door. She peeps her head around and she sees Minho and Newt fast alseep.

They both gently tip-toe in, avoiding making any noise. Kenneth pushes her over, She falls over and cannot contain her laughter. She holds her hand over her mouth in attempt to muffle her giggles.

They both whisper a goodnight to eachother before going to their bed. Aurora kneels down and sees a pillow on the floor. Newts pillow.

The small gesture made her want to melt. That's what she liked about Newt, he always put others before himself. She made a mental note to thank him in the morning.
