Adrenaline pumped in her veins as Lorelei raised the barrel towards the hunter, eyes narrowed as Scott stared up at Kate's hatred radiating from her pores. "Why would you protect a monster?!" the woman screeched, watching as Chris aimed his own gun at her as well.

"The only monster I see is you," Lore growled.

"This is what we do! We kill monsters!"

"That is an innocent child," Lorelei snarled right back, "you have lost the meaning of the code."

"You've changed, Lorey," Kate responded before turning her head towards Scott, preparing to end another life.

"So have you," Lorelei responded with disappointment before her finger pulled at the trigger.
