Jungwon pov

My alarm went off disturbing my beautiful sleep, I sighed and stood up from my bed and did my morning routine, went downstairs quickly made myself a grilled cheese sandwich and headed out of my house to my car, I looked at my watch.

6:30 am

"Oh my god I better hurry or I'll get late" I said to myself.

I reached the building and parked my car in its place and quickly ran to the giant glass door, I entered the building and quickly went to the coffee machine while greeting everyone on my way and even bowing to seniors.

As soon as I reached the coffee machine I saw a familiar face.

"Oh niki good morning dude" I greeted him.

"What do you mean good morning I had such a miserable morning-" said niki.

"Oh there he goes again" I thought to myself. 

"I woke to that loud ass alarm at 4 in the morning because I did not complete a presentation and my stupid ass brain thought of doing it at 4 in the morning and after I completed it around 5:15 am and finally went to bed, guess what, my neighbor's husky thought it was the perfect time to howl it's lungs out I'm seriously gonna snatch his vocal cord out of his throat one day" ranted niki.

I rolled my eyes as I listened to him ranting for about 2 minutes while sipping on my coffee.

"And even taki is sick this week so I can't just go to him and cuddle him and tell him about the amount of bad things that happened to me this morning" whined niki.

"Oh taki he's the one you told me about and how badly you wanna hug him just squish him in your arms.............. he's the one you like right??" I asked while wiggling my eyebrows.

"I'm not g-gay" lied niki.

"If you're straight then I'm billie eilish" I sassed back.

"Ok whatever by the way do you know the ceo will be returning from us today" said niki.

"Wait what I thought he was coming back next week" I said as I panicked.

"Ohh my god dumbass he's already here he must be in his office" said niki trying to make me calm down a bit.

"Wait does that mean we're gonna be in the same room, I've never even met him how am I supposed to do this niki??!!" I exclaimed as I was visibly panicking now.

"It's ok but how was he managing his work while he was in the us??" asked niki with a visibly confused look.

"I was handling his work for him from korea for the time he was in U.S" I replied.

"It's gonna be ok, you know how to handle his work what can go wrong" niki said as he tried to comfort me.

"Breath in, breath out c'mon breath jungwon it's gonna be ok" said niki.

"Thank you niki" I said as I hugged him when I finally calmed down.

"It's ok we are friends for a reason" he replied.

"Oh by the way I've heard that he likes his coffee strong" he said as he finally left the office canteen.

He likes his coffee strong

I snapped out of thoughts but the sentence just brought back memories, bitter-sweet memories.

I tried my best to stop thinking about it and made some coffee for my 'boss' and head to my office, which was in my "boss's" room.

I did not knock on the door since it was also my office.

I entered the office saw someone sitting on the desk.

It felt familiar.

I brushed my thoughts off and kept the coffee on his desk and bowed exactly 90 degrees to him and greeted him.

"Good morning Mr. Park" I greeted him.

He said nothing, the silence was too loud.

I sat on my desk and started to work on some files and documents.

I noticed that the 2 hours we sat in the same room he never said anything to me.

I opened his business email and started reading them, I saw a particular email.

The email was offering forming an alliance between both the companies but of course I had to ask I had to ask Mr. Park before replying.

I went to his desk and asked him.

"Sorry for disturbing you Mr. park but Choi int. emailed the company offering to collaborate on a project" I said trying my best not to stutter by his intimidating aura.

"Deny the offer, I don't really appreciate what the company had to say about me in the last corporate meeting I don't want to waste my time on this" he said as he finally lifted his head and I saw his face for the first time since the time I came to give him coffee his face was looking down at his phone.

I froze my face and body went pale as I finally saw his face and connected the dots.

Mr. park, Park Jay Jongseong.

It's him.

And then I heard a familiar voice saying,

The hairs on the back of my neck upon hearing that voice.

"Hello there Yang Jungwon"
