Sun POV
-
-I smiled as I sat down with the children, coloring with them. One of the little girls giggled and held up her drawing, showing me it. It was a picture of me and her holding hands. A smile crept onto my face, though it quickly faded when I saw she had also drawn Moon in the background. Normally I wouldn't mind! I love when they include Moony in their drawings! But in her drawing he seemed to be the evil bad guy. He was holding a knife covered in blood and everything.
I sighed. "That's a beautiful drawing sunshine! But... why is our good friend Moon holding such a mean thing?" I asked.
The little girl huffed and crossed her arms. "Because he's a meanie! And he's scary! And he's always calling us naughty when we just wanna stay up!" She explained.
I sighed. "Don't you think Moony feels sad that you think that way about them...? They don't mean to be scary-"
"YES THEY DO! They have evil eyes and sharp claws!" The girl protested.
"That doesn't mean they mean to look scary..." I mumbled.
A little boy next to me glared at the girl. "Yeah! It's the mean people who made him look that way!" He said. Though he was only one to side with me. All the others kids started agreeing with the girl. I sighed and looked down.
It's fine, Sun...they are just kids...they don't mean what they say half of the time...
Moon said in the mind. I huffed.
Yeah! But still...they need to learn some manners! But they won't Sunny, you know that. I don't take offense when it's little kids. If an adult started to shame me, it's different. But- But nothing. Play with the kids and don't worry about me.
I sighed and nodded, standing up. "Children! How about we all go have an early nap time!" I suggested. Everyone groaned except the boy who was siding with me.
Sun! No! You need to prove to them you aren't scary! Come on, Moony! I believe in you! And so does this little boy! Sunny please...I don't want to force them to like me if they don't... But they don't even know you much! How about you read and sing to them? Your old lullabies were so soothing! No one but you likes my singing Sunny...they are terrified of me. My voice, my face. Everything. But we can change that! C'mon! At least try?
I heard Moon let out a sigh.
Fine. But you owe me. Okie Dokie!
I smiled and walked over to the nap time area.
"Mister Sun? Why does Moon have to come out during nap time?" Asked the little girl.
"Because, sunshine, Moony wants to spend time with you guys as well!" I explained.
"And what if we don't wanna spend time with him?" Another kid asked.
"Then I suggest you fall asleep quickly, sunshine!" I said, smiling. They all groaned except the boy who was visibly excited. I walked over to the lights and sighed. "Okay Moon...you can do this..." I mumbled, turning off the lights.

Moon POV
-I sighed, not sure about this. I didn't want to force the kids to like me. I understand if they were scared of me. I don't even like my animatronic appearance...
I walked over to the children, the bells on my wrist, hat, and shoes jingling. I saw one of the girls holding something. "What you got there starlight?" I asked, trying to make sure it wasn't anything dangerous. Then suddenly the girl turned around and threw something hard at my face. I fell over, shocked.
"Ha! Take that ugly moon man!" The girl said, sticking her tongue out at me. I tried to keep my cool, not wanting to yell at the children to get them more scared of me.
The little boy ran over to me and held out a hand. "Here Moon! I'll help you up!" He said. I smiled slightly, grabbing his hand and lifting my self up, pretending that he was the one helping me up.
Moony? Are you alright? I'm fine, Sun.
I pat the boys head and snickered. "Thank you starlight." I said.
Awe! How nice you are with the kids! I'm only nice so I don't lose our job.
Another little boy ran up to me and yanked me down by my skirt. I fell back over, not sure why I was so weak compared to these kids. The child then held scissors to my face. "S-Starlight! You shouldn't be playing with scissors!" I scolded. He rolled his eyes and hit me with them. I hissed out in pain and held my animatronic face, oil dripping onto my hands. The nice boy who's name I think was Danny, yelled at the bully.
"HEY! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING!? THAT'S NO WAY TO TREAT OUR FRIENDS!?" He snapped.
"You want to get hurt too, huh?" The bully asked, grabbing the scissors again.
I growled and grabbed him by the arm, twisting it. The bully screamed and dropped the scissors. "Now you listen here you little brat, you don't EVER play with scissors, especially to hurt people! And you NEVER threaten ANYONE, DO YOU HEAR ME?!" I growled. The bully cried, nodding repeatedly. I let go, grabbing the scissors and standing up. "Good."
The bully cried loudly, making my ears hurt.
Ugh! Sunny, I'm letting you deal with this brat. I- okay Moony... I'm sorry for letting you out... I didn't know they would hurt you... It's fine. Just deal with them. I need to distress. Okay...!
I walked over to the lights, turning them back on.
