Lyrica's alarm went off and she woke up to turn it off. She looked at the time and it was around 10' o clock in the morning. She looked at her phone to see if there were any new messages, but there was nothing. So she went ahead and scrolled through social media noticing an interesting headline.
The Late Duke's Daughter Finally in Valentino
People got a glimpse as Lyrica Rosetta Castillo entered Valentino yesterday to start her academic here in the Empire. Many people are looking back at her speech during her Debutante raising high hopes for the future of Valentino.
"Geez, they're so quick to report on this." She put her hand over her eyes and she hears a few knocks on the door.
"Lady Lyrica, breakfast is ready and Lady Vivian is waiting downstairs."
"Thank you I'll be out there in a minute," Lyrica got up from her bed and opened the curtains to let the light shine through. She was a bit groggy from being jet lagged but she knew if she didn't get up right away she would get an earful from Vivian.
She walked over to her bathroom and she started her morning routine which started with her showering, washing her face, brushing her teeth, and drying her hair. She put on her bathrobe and went outside to check her suitcase for clothes to wear. She didn't unpack all the way since she was going to move out in a week. So she grabbed one of her old badminton hoodies from freshmen year and her old black leggings. After she finished everything she grabbed her phone and walked downstairs to the dining area where Vivian was tapping her foot waiting for Lyrica.
"Did you just get out of bed?" Vivian questioned to her as she finally got to prepare to eat breakfast.
"I literally just did my whole morning routine," Lyrica then sat on the chair right across from Vivian at the dining table, "You weren't waiting that long—"
"One hour is quite a long time," Vivian crossed her arms and she looked over to the maids and butlers who came over to give their breakfast, "The chef made egg white frittata today."
"I don't care what they made I'm hungry." Lyrica eyed the food. It looked like it had a variety of vegetables and was topped with thinly cut chives.
"So we will be going Downtown to do most of our shopping. I've already arranged for most of of the boutiques to be ready for our arrival. Do you know if Peter would be riding with us?"
"Uhm he texted me this morning saying he can meet us there because he has something to do beforehand."
"Okay, that's is fine. Basically after we eat we will get ready. I called for Ava to come back for you to help with your whole styling situation temporarily."
"My styling situation? I'm telling you Vivian I dress for comfort. Though I'm glad to see Ava again...Vivian why don't we actually catch up. How was your summer?"
"Boring, just answering to the news every now and then I had to help our grandparents with a lot of paperwork throughout the summer. Since my father isn't here anymore and since my mother decided to step down from the royal scene, I've been cleaning up the mess he made. How about you?"
"Oh," it felt a bit awkward for Lyrica if she were just to talk about how much fun she had this summer so she decided not to, "I just spent time with family that's all. Read a few books here and there."
"That sounds pleasant." Vivian continued to take a bit out of her frittata.
Breakfast was pretty awkward, at least for Lyrica. Despite trying to suggest to catch up Vivian kept reaching her about things she should be mindful of as she starts going to school at the university. Once they finished up they went back to their rooms to, according to Vivian, actually get ready. By the time Lyrica went up Ava was already there waiting for her inside.
