it was day time, we circled around shim's grave. clegg spoke quiet words to her ghost, i my was not my place to listen to his words to her so i blocked his voice out. then anakin walked towards her grave, he dropped to his knees and took a handful of sand, "i'm sorry i couldn't save you mom. i would do anything for you to be beside me." he stands up, "i miss you so much." his voice cracked. we heard beeps and we turn to where the sound came from, "artoo? what are you doing here?" padmè spoke first, artoo beeps and whistles once more. C-3PO answers for us, "it seems he is carrying a message from obi-wan kenobi. master ani, does that name mean anything to you?"

a rough hologram appeared, projecting infront of us. "anakin, my long range transmitter has been knocked out. retransmit this message to coruscant." padmè reaches over the control board and presses a button that i imagine is to retransmit it. "i have tracked the bounty hunter jango fett to the droid foundries on geonosis." he spoke once more.

we watch the hologram get cut off because obi-wan was attacked, my brows furrow and anakin jumps up, agitated. then another hologram appears, one of mace windu, "anakin, shanaya, we will deal with count dooku.
the most important thing for you is to stay where you are. protect the Senator at all costs. that is your first priority." I was about to say something before anakin cut me off, "understood, master." the hologram shuts off.
"they'll never get there in time to save him. they have to come halfway across the galaxy. look, geonosis is less than a parsec away." padmè starts hitting buttons and flicks switches, i grin, "she's right. it'll take too long." anakin puts a hand over hers to stop her and my gaze goes to his hand on hers sharply. he then looks at both padmè and i, "if he's still alive." "anakin, shut up." padmè looked like she was about to say something but she stays quiet, anakin glares at me. "i know how you are feeling after the death of your mother." he stiffens, "but he is like a brother to you, the closest thing you have to a father, so we are going, you can stay behind if you wish." he sighs, defeated. padmè grins before flicking more switches and the engine fires. i take controls while anakin watches me. "i hate when you're like that." he mutters. "you mean you hate when i'm right?" he grumbles, glaring at the back of my head.
